Has anybody checked this in? Would it survive the luggage hold?

I have only used mine on a cruise and carried it on board rather than check it in as I use the front pocket for my travel documents, etc. It would not fit comfortably in the over head locker on a plane, so if flying you would have to check it in. There are adequate facilitates for padlocking all the accessible zippers. I am sure that it is robust enough to withstand baggage handling but as it is a 'soft' case, do not pack anything that is fragile in it if you are not going to carry it with you at all times.

What is the folded dimensions of this bag?

Folded, this is approx 21” x 21” x 2.5”. BUT - this is soft cased to expands depending on what you put in it. My husband has packed loads into it’s pockets, including shoes and his wash bag and it closes easily- hope this helps. It is a stylish and looks really good.

Will this bag fit a 42 inch suit?

Yes no problem. Loads of room in it
