I used to make my own but not with all the oils in this, but this is very reasonable and costs less than buying the oils separately. I knew my mix worked, which had peppermint and pine in, so brought 2 of these after spending my birthday money on new plants and minature trees. I have a 3 pronged attack in my garden, magic mulch, pine needles sprinkled on the mulch and regular use of this around the pots as most of my plants are in containers, the only one that reduced the slug and snail population in my garden by 90%, you have to be persistent after rain when it is dry go and re apply to plant pots, or the plants themselves or both depending if sunny just do around the base of pots, some of mine are on shingles so i spray around the pots too. I go out at the start of rain and gather up emerging snails and throw them to a wasteland area near me. After rain i go out and check all the plant container rims and remove any remaining snails which was only about 5 found a couple of days ago, and 3 today, these are relocated, the magic mulch, pine needles, and rosemary cuttings i forgot to add seem to reduce by 10%, so this spray is a godsend for the organic gardener, i just have a terrace garden so not a large space to manage, i use it on my container plants out front area that has small space for wheelie bins and some plants. Thank you for creating this wonder spray, it is truly cost effective as my spray bottle takes 600mls i put 75 drops, I also spray around my lean too door way, and along window frames as my glass has been removed from my lean too, to prevent entry and even after rain only find a couple of snails in there, on days of rain expected for a day or more i use nature friendly slug pellets. I only remove snails in my garden because i cannot bare to touch slugs. I use one spray bottle per prevention session of spraying, but if you have a larger area, may need to use more, overall i would recommend this wholeheartedly and I will be a customer for life!

Smell can be a bit overwhelming if you make the mixture inside or leave any utensils inside but it seems to help.

Still get snails but not as many perhaps l should apply more and often

I have high hopes for this product as we already use the ant repellent from this company and it is extremely effective by the way.The slug repellent appears so far to be working extremely well, we planted some tender, leafy Cosmos in patio pots and gave them a good spray. Even after heavy rain the leaves remain intact whereas other pots containing plants hat have not been sprayed have provided a meal for the slugs.We have given everything a good spray again after the rain and so far so good.5 stars.

I bought this spray to deter slugs from eating all my newly planted shrubs and bedding plants. Unfortunately, having sprayed them and all around them, the slugs chomped their way through nearly everything!

it needs to be sprayed every day to work

I’ve tried multiple scents and sprays to get rid of the slugs in my garden and home, and they didn’t flinch! However, I bought this in hopes that I could dilute it with some water and it might work better - a last resort! I spray it all across the outside of my front door and I’ve actually witnessed them make a complete U-turn! The smell of garlic is definitely the most pungent which is what I think they like the least, as other sprays havent had a strong a scent. Hopefully this continues to keep them at bay!

To get deter slugs & snails. It has done nothing the snails are having a feast. I you have told me I can have a full refund for this item but can’t seem to find the right page for refunds
