Promotes movement-as advertised!
I have been working remotely and at a computer for about 12 years. I shamefully admit that I am late to the standing desk game. I knew I needed one but I never prioritized it. 90% of people I know who use standing desks all told me the same thing, they "used it for a while then stopped and never used it again" lol.I also learned that standing can be as bad as sitting, (which I will not get into talk to an expert or do your own research). This was a bit discouraging; why would I need a standing desk if it doesn't help your circulation to stand up for long periods of time?I didn't want what happened to other to happen to me as I was determined to change my habits and promote a more healthy lifestyle. Then I found this balance board , and I must say it does what it claims. I can stand longer without fatigue and I am also forced to use my muscles and move which is good for circulation. The balance is very subtle and you can get used to it very fast. After 1 use you forget you are standing on it. Very natural feeling and safe.Sometimes during long presentations or meetings, I will stand on the board and do bicep curls (not recommended for obvious safety reasons) but it works and I am getting a more complete body workout this way. Now, there are many other similar boards out there for a fraction of the cost but I was drawn to research, engineering, quality, and story of this product. I do think they could have easily sold this for $99 -$150 and probably that way they would sell more, I would even buy 2!I am not sure how the other ones are engineered but this one is worth the investment. it has been almost 2 months and I frequently use this set up. I am standing/balancing at least 30-40% more with while using this board vs just standing alone. There have been days where I "balanced" the whole day while working.Must have for your standing desk set up!

A game changer for my standing desk routine
The board's quality stood out immediately—it's sturdy and well-crafted. Using it daily, I noticed an improvement in my stance and a decrease in the usual fatigue associated with prolonged standing. The board promotes a gentle, constant motion that keeps my legs active, subtly improving my balance and focus. However, it did take about a week to adjust to the board's movement without feeling distracted and sore in my legs. And while it's great for my home office, it’s a bit difficult to transport if I wanted to use it elsewhere. In summary, the FluidStand board has enhanced my standing desk experience by adding comfort and movement, though it requires a short adaptation period.

Where have you been all my (professional) life?!
I'm in love with this board. And i dont say it lightly. I was never interested in standing desks because, even though i like walking and running, i just hate standing - i'm always uncomfortable and can't concentrate for some reason. However, since Covid i have been working much more and started having all kinds of pains from my sitting position.I couldn't stand at my desk for more than 15 minutes at a time so i started looking for standing mats. That's when i stumbled on balance boards and i thought this might be a solution for me.I chose plane cloud because it was the only one i could find with soft layer on top. It was more expensive than i would have liked but i dont regret buying it for a moment. It seems very well built, has just the right size and just enough wobbliness to entertain but not distract.I can now work standing up for 3 hours straight and it keeps me more energized and motivated. I do look funny bouncing up and down during meetings but who cares. I can switch positions for bouncing and stretching and I can even type standing still without a problem.I also love the soft layer on top. I usually stand on the board barefeet and it's a very relaxing feeling. Honestly, balance board with hard surface o top dont make sense to me.I do worry about a floor sometimes though I haven't noticed any traces of wear yet. I ordered a standard desk mat to put underneath just in case (the instructions do say to protect the floor). My husband thought it was a gimmick when i first got it but even he commented on the fact that it looks like a fun way to work and that i do use it way more than he anticipated.I guess the only problem is that the board is too much fun so the kids steal it from me whenever i leave my desk and use it during their home school. Or their breaks. I may end up buying en extra one so i dont have to share anymore.

Good quality, easy to use, your body shows how much it likes it
Was a toss up between this and another popular one that only rocks side to side, and glad I went for this instead. Bought the Cloud for the more cushioned surface than Storm, and after a few minutes to get used it, was quickly finding it easy and enjoyable to use. The contour of the base is rather less than some that are almost hemispherical and more oriented towards an exercise gadget, making it easy for the body to stay in one position with barely any movement or effort required. It's interesting though how much the body can be subconsciously moving in whatever pattern it wants, making "FluidStance" a very apt name. After a bit I put mine on a mat to protect the floor, but having some pile it does reduce the sensitivity a bit, rather like switching down to a beginner level, so may end up using something else or simply not bothering. It's relatively expensive and there are no doubt lower priced alternatives that are perfectly adequate, but being well made this shouldn't start falling apart and get damaged from chair legs or anything else knocking into it, it has no chance of splinters being plastic, and should last a long time. Definitely recommended.

Brilliant
Just moving around a little makes a huge difference (as does pretending to surf now and again). They recommend just using the board for a few hours a day, building up slowly. I ignored that and haven't used my chair since the day it arrived. This thing totally changed how I work at home, expensive but I'd recommend it.
