Natural History Museum Creepy Crawly Torch and Projector

This is a fab little torch- my 2 year-old twins LOVE this. It's great value for money, and the different discs have good content on them. If it's not clear on the instructions you need to twist the light end of the torch to focus the image. Have recommended to others and even bought a second one with a different theme.

My 3 year old loves these! He has a dinosaur one also and keeps him entertained for a while. Would be nice if it included a little pouch or something to keep the disks in though as I can see them getting lost soon!

The "Natural History Museum Creepy Crawly Torch and Projector" proved to be a successful gift for my 4 year old great-nephew, who enjoyed being able to see the projected photos of a few insects and other bugs. Fortunately he's too young to read or care much about the fairly large gap between the hype of the product description and the reality of this cheap little plastic toy: the focus mechanism is a bit loose & fiddly, and you'd have to be in almost total darkness to see the projections from more than about 60cm away. Plus I suspect it won't take long before the ten-pence sized photo disks become lost, but at least he'll still have a little toy torch. So: good for a young child but only in the well-under-£10 toy category.

Such a simple concept executed very well. It does look, at first glance, like just a torch with a few slides. And, indeed, that is what it is. But so much more. The creepy crawlies slides have great definition, but make sure it's quite dark, and see how big you can make the images by walking further from them! Ooh! Rather cool. The focus works excellently, and for such a simple idea, it's a big thumbs up from me and my 6 year old!

My little boy is 18months old and absolutely loves this! It is amazing value for money. The images are so clear and colourful!! We have lots of fun with it :)!

Great gift, but unfortunately the box had been ripped and cello taped, which is not a good look for a gift, such a shame!

Highly recommend this product! It’s a great way to bond with your child at night time before bed when it’s dark. Good for social skills and understanding the world. It really is a lovely little product for the price! Well worth the money. The only thing I would say is children under 4 will need assistance changing over the film reels as they can be a bit fiddly/tricky for younger ages and can get jammed/stuck if put in the wrong way (if stuck they can easily be taken out by an adult). Over all excellent product and deliver.

So when I first tried this I was super disappointed. The images were so blurry. Turns out you have to focus it. That's on me. I didn't look at the box so it may have had directions regarding that.For a $10 toy it is great. I got this for my 4 year old son. While he has not opened his gift yet I showed it to his older sister and she asked me to buy one for her.The images are great. It is a fun little flashlight toy. The little discs can be tricky to turn without popping them out of the flashlight but my son will figure it out. Very excited to give this to him.Can't say anything about the durability yet but I will probably buy the other two options.

Super interesante y entretenido. Sólo me falla que hay algún bichp en foto poco reconocible y yo habría puesto más de los comunes, pero está muy guay, se ve fenomenal y mi pequeñajo está entusiasmado.

Einfach nur super. Sehr gute Bildqualität für einen guten Preis. Sowohl in der Nähe als auch ferne sind die Bilder gut und scharf zu sehen.

Ennesima torcia acquistata per la gioia di nostro figlio e la nostra. Le diapositive sono belle e nitide, la sera è un gioco bellissimo proiettare le immagini sul soffitto e giocare ad inventare storie o a descrivere i soggetti. Un ottimo modo per stare insieme giocando, imparando.
