So all in all I was blown away in what I viewed and was totally awe struck that what you will view will be the icing on the cake I should image the audience felt it was even more spectacular being there totally live! Take for example the medley that opens the concert, which is ‘DRIVING MISS DAISY’ Opening Medley: Driving [‘DRIVING MISS DAISY’] / Discombobulate [‘SHERLOCK HOLMES’] / Zoosters Breakout [‘MADAGASCAR’] and you see everyone walk onto the stage and the Medley starts off fairly quiet and then as time goes by each person with their instrument builds to make a massive wall of sound that is an absolutely mind blowing experience and really sets the bar high for the rest of the concert and you get to hear all the instruments work their magic and all the speakers get a really good workout with clear precise positioning of all the instruments and the Blu-ray really highlights all the instruments so distinguished and sharp with the 1080p image quality. Technical prowess is totally natural and more than anything, once again the quality of the bright stunning colour images took my breath away and is a totally amazing experience and certainly captures why Blu-ray discs always gives us the awesome stunning images we deserve and offers a deep record in the sense of space and dynamics that are a resounding success for this awesome Hans Zimmer concert that will make you feel you are actually there and this Blu-ray disc that will not disappoint, in fact you will want to do a regular repeat viewing of this totally awesome Blu-ray disc, that again you will think you are watching a 4K Blu-ray disc, that is totally spectacular and will give you also a totally spine tingling experience and caused me to get very emotional in what I was viewing. But be warned if you are affected by lots of flashing and strobing lighting, as there is a vast amount of this type of lighting effects. Blu-ray Audio Quality – With this Eagle Rock Entertainment Blu-ray disc, you experience a totally spectacular audio soundtrack, which is brought to you in an even more awesome sound design with English: 7.1 Dolby ATMOS, English: 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound and English: 2.0 LPCM Stereo Audio which is okay, but not so spectacular. But for those who cannot view the Blu-ray with the 7.1 Dolby ATMOS audio experience, then the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound audio experience is something I can assure you will take your breath away with this audio total perfection, especially as everything is facilitated by the fact that it is a technically managed masterpiece. With the orchestration and the voices of choral singers is so totally natural in this particular concert environment and gives you effect that you are hearing it like an actual studio recording, but of course live and totally realistic! So, all in all it is so technically and professionally impressive, and as always you get total technical brilliance collaboration from the engineers and together it is 100% perfectionists. The dynamics sounds you experience is also totally delicious, the voices are well placed and the sound mixing those singers with the orchestra is a very enjoyable experience and you get experience totally brilliant professional musicians that really captures the whole concert experience a very professional post production that is 100% near on total perfection of sound reproduction and especially with sincerity. Overall, the work of the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound track is a totally mind blowing event, but the 2.0 LPCM Stereo Audio track seemed very simplistic in comparison. Anyway, since you have the choice of the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound and the 2.0 LPCM audio track it is of course a matter of choice, but I will always go for the7.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround Sound track, as this really shows you how a concert of this calibre should be heard. This Blu-ray is of course a total MUST for all concert aficionados who want to experience the best results from an awesome ultimate concert as this one! And one that is also an amazing technical innovation that the press had reported with the Hans Zimmer Concert Tour saying that was a feast of joyous experience and it was a riveting meditation, to say with nothing but respect, and added a depth to the night that reminded everyone why Hans Zimmer’s music is so impactful. But to simply remind you that because of this Blu-ray format it brings a real bonus in terms of sound quality and it is brilliantly more defined, and more importantly, those extra exclusive information on the Blu-ray disc is a brilliant technical specifications of the highest standard experience of a totally awesome ambient sounds that are produced and again totally envelopes you with all your speakers giving you an audio experience that you will not forget in a very long time. So well done Eagle Rock Entertainment. But be warned, there are some musical interludes in the concert that gets very loud and make sure your neighbours are not around, as your walls will shake from the loud sounds that enemata from your speakers. This has got to be the best feel/heargood concert films ever! Whatever musical genre you prefer, you will love this. An absolute feast of sound and vision and as close as I can possibly imagine to watching live. I had no idea how vast Hans's footprint spread. So many wonderful movies from some of the World's greatest Directors. With every chapter, the score is so precise and accurate I was instantly transported to the moments in the according films. The musicians and arrangements are clearly honed with fine precision but... throughout this varied and complicated set, the good vibes are off the scale! So nice to see happy professionals doing their best. Without doubt, Hans spreads good humour and encouragement like a heat seeking missile! I sincerely suggest you break out your Highest Fi to appreciate this extravaganza. The bandwidth appears vast and totally uncensored while the surround mixes are perfection washing over you like an emotional sunami. That said, even on the smallest mobile or laptop, you will not fail to absorb the energy and enthusiasm from, in my view the World's most likable and sophisticated film composers. Thank you HZ. Worth every penny!

Possibly the best of Hans Zimmer's concerts released on Blu-ray so far, even though it is (I think) the earliest. Excellent sound and picture quality. Plenty of dialogue from Hans between the tracks (most of which isn't included on the CD version) is nice to hear, especially if you've seen any of the live perfomances. This release is also noteworthy for the superb Dark Knight Trilogy arrangement linking into Hans' emotional introduction and tribute to Aurora, a non-film piece which I don't think appears on any of his other releases. Also note that although music from the same films appears on multiple HZ releases, the tracks and arrangements tend to get changed signifcantly for each live tour, placing emphasis on different parts and using different approaches to performing them. It would therefore be unfair to raise any criticism of what might appear to be repetition across different releases; rather it's interesting to see how the shows and arrangements evolve. This Prague recording is a great place to start. The double CD (not included with the Blu-ray) is also recommended if you want to listen away from the Blu-ray; the same music is included on both formats.

Excellent quality sound and video. I've seen him live, and this film captures the spirit of a live show very well.

The great variety of artists on this DVD helps lift the music to a place beyond a mere music score. To fully engage with this performance requires two or three listens. Best enjoyed on good headphones or a decent multi-speaker system, or you'll miss out on a lot of what's going on musically. The audio/visual quality of the production on this live performance is also excellent. One for all the family to enjoy.

I discovered this release quite by accident when a YouTube video was recommended to me featuring the Pirates of the Caribbean section of the concert. I am glad I did, it is excellent, featuring some of the best scores Hans Zimmer and freinds have composed, played superbly by some of the worlds best musicians. Image quality is a bit grainy in the darker scenes but these are short lived and overall the images are sharp and detailed with very little noise. The Atmos soundtrack is very good too with plenty of bass so you will need to make sure your sub woofer is set up correctly to truly appreciate it. There is plenty of dynamic range which will please audiophiles but not necessarily their neighbours. Highlights include Crimson Tide, Gladiator with a superb vocal by Czarina Russel, Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Thin Red Line, a favourite of Johnny Marr who is in the band and other well known soundtracks. It's over 2 hours long so plenty to enjoy. If you like Hans Zimmer movie scores, I cannot recommend this enough.

Over 2 hours of the most amazing music you will ever hear (and see). The quality of the musicianship on stage is just awesome and it is done full justice by the quality of the sound and vision (blue ray). For the best experience you must connect up to a good sound system. The sound is recorded in Dolby Atmos and even though I have mine connected through my 'old fashioned' 2 channel hi-fi, the quality and fidelity is just brilliant. I have read a few negative comments as regards overly heavy bass and poor balance. This is not my experience and I am speaking as a semi professional brass player. Faulty discs excepted, balance and fidelity is truly superb. I can only put the negative comments on sound down to the current trend for modern sound systems that are geared towards film viewing and boosting super low frequencies in order to emulate the cinema experience. Yes, bass is big, but listening on a quality music system it is absolutely spot on.

An inspiring journey through the talent of one of movies' most imaginative composers and his hand-picked musicians. From spellbinding mood pieces to rollicking anthems like the awesome Pirates medley. The musicians are exceptional of course and everyone looks like they're having a blast. This actually inspired me to go to the event live the following year and it was one of the greatest live experiences I've ever had.

Imagen y sonido de gran calidad para disfrutarlo en alta definición y con buenos altavoces como mínimo. Tuve la suerte de ver este show en Barcelona (sin él presenta como está en este de Praga) participando en grabación con todos sus colaboradores en vivo, y es absoultamente recomendable para todo aquel admirador del trabajo de este genio.

Vergessen sie alles was hier an Meckerei abgeliefert wurde, sei es der eventuell nicht genau passende Bildschnitt, oder dass vermeintlich andere Filmmusikkomponisten besser sind: Wer Musik als hoch emotionales und bewegendes Erlebnis empfinden kann sowie entsprechend vorbehaltlos das Geschehen auf sich wirken lässt, wird sich im besten Sinne des Wortes aufgewühlt, erregt und tief berührt während und nach diesem Konzert wiederfinden. Die Spannung die Hans Zimmer mit seiner Inszenierung hier aufbaut ist so dramatisch, wie der packendste Film es nicht besser sein könnte. Nicht zuletzt wegen des zum niederknien großartigen Sounds – sehr gute Anlage vorausgesetzt - bombastisch aber mit klaren Strukturen, abgrundtiefen kräftigen Bässen und gewaltigem Bläsersatz sowie einem zu jeder Zeit deutlich heraushörbaren Chor. Die Klangmuster sind jederzeit souverän ausgeglichen und selbst in leisen Stellen von einer deutlich spürbaren, den Raum ausfüllenden Lebendigkeit geprägt. Es liegt ständig eine positiv empfundene Anspannung in der Darbietung. Spätestens bei der Musik von „Man of Steel“ ist die Spannung so fesselnd und ergreifend, dass mir hemmungslos die Tränen der Freude nur so kullerten. Mehr geht nicht. Wenn ein Musikgeschehen das schafft, ist es ist völlig egal, ob man hier oder da etwas hätte besser machen können. Die aus meiner Sicht zu Recht andauernden „Standing Ovations“ des Publikums sprechen für sich. Aus diesem Grund ist dieses Konzert eine unbedingte Empfehlung zumal auch das Auge nicht zu kurz kommt. Tolle Musiker, kein nervöser Bildschnitt und ein messerscharfes Bild mit tiefem schwarz (was freilich nur mit OLED gelingt) runden den Spaß an dieser BluRay ab. Alles in Allem ein Hochgenuß! Fünf Sterne plus Herr Zimmer für ihre wunderbare Musik und dieses Ausnahmekonzert. Danke auch an EAGLE VISION für die – wie immer bei EAGLE - wirklich perfekte Tonaufnahme! Diese BluRay wird gerade für ca. 8 € verscherbelt. Ich würde sogar 50 € dafür geben! Technische Anmerkung: Der Ton steht neben Stereo auch in DOLBY Atmos zu Verfügung – normales DOLBY 5.1 abwärtskompatibel. Ich rate unbedingt zu Atmos und wenn sie noch keine Deckenlautsprecher haben und/oder keinen atmosfähigen Receiver, dann schnellstens nachrüsten! Und dann bitte in Orchesterlautstärke hören. Der Unterschied zur einfachen Stereowiedergabe ist kaum in Worte zu fassen. Soviel erlebnisreicher und emotionsgeladener ist das Geschehen mit DOLBY Atmos. Absolut genial. Not my type of concert registration. First part is okay but second part is more like a psychedelic lightshow. Very nervous and quick camera changes. Maybe acceptable to listen but hard to watch. Disappointing for me.
