This hands-ons creative activity was perfect for my 8 year old. She loved every step and was able to do almost all of the kit on her own. My favorite part is that you can paint the fossils right away. We got a great deal but it’s actually worth the regular price.

Daughter loved it.Was fun for the entire family.

Got for my 6 and 3 year old grandsons. I sat with them and explained the process and they had a ton of fun with it. All then pieces were very high quality and worked exactly as they were supposed to. The molds and the little cases to keep the bugs in were solid and detailed. Having a magnifying glass in the top of the cases was an extra bonus. Lots of paint choices, even the lids of the little paint pots were made for kid size fingers and came open easily. I would buy this again, and if you are looking for a good birthday gift for a birthday party, highly recommend!

It is a good idea and holds some interest. It is educational in the sense it does tell about each buy and they go under a sort of magnifying glass small little display.

My boys absolutely loved this, it also makes really cool pieces. They did mention it wasnt easy, so if you have younger kids, I suggest you plan on doing it too!

Tried various techniques of getting the insect out of the mold, without breaking off the legs, etc. This was very difficult to achieve. That’s why I gave it a three star rating.

I don’t think anyone tested this product before selling it. It is almost impossible to get the insects out of the molds, especially intact. Fun idea, too bad it is incredibly frustrating in actuality. At least I have a few nice paints to use on a different project…

This is so cool. It’s very user friendly and the clay/dough isn’t real sticky. It molds easily and painting it once you’ve made your bug mold is soooo easy. My son loves it!!!
