I use to use the circle ND filter kits but they were far too much hassle. This one offers a much more professional end result and is completely easy to use. ND filters are designed to reduce the amount of light through the lens. This allows you to do things like achieving a shallower depth of field in bright sunshine and harsh lighting conditions without causing the image to be overexposed. Or allowing you to slow your shutter speed to capture silky smooth, almost dream-like shots of moving water (such as waterfalls, or waves crashing over rocks).In use, the filters worked really well. I noticed no difference in image quality, nor was there any colour shift that I saw. I can not see any noticeable colour cast, ghosting, haze or chromatic aberration, nor can I find any degradation in sharpness. I do not have access to lab equipment that can test this filter in a quantifiable manner, but hey, if my eyes can't see anything wrong after a dozen outings over 3 weeks of use, then I’m happy.The filter itself is very well made, feels quite sturdy, and screwed on and off my camera without any issues. This kit is extremely portable, considering everything it includes, and the pouches are exceptionally sturdy. Attaching and removing are done quickly, first, the adapter must be screwed onto the lens. The filter can then be put on if required and removed just as quickly, for this purpose, there is a screw cap on the side. The filter is particularly good for very bright objects, as the darkening can be used to set the scene really well, but a lot of practice with the camera is required. But the filter is also very good for pictures when the sun is high or even against the sun, the result is simply something different.For beginners, it's not that easy at all, but as always with practice, you can get some great results. In this way, a professional filter “pays for itself” faster than you think, the photos quickly have more depth and also more effect. If you want to add more quality to your videos or photos, you need this. Very well made with great results.Hope this review helps.

For video and photography Neutral Density Filters are a valuable tool to have at my disposal to enable me to have additional control over light entering my lens. This NEEWER ND0.6 (2 Stops) Square ND Filter fits the 4" x 5.65" filter frames of both my Matte Boxes perfectly.It arrived very well packaged and was wrapped in protective tissue paper inside of the supplied good quality storage case with a cleaning cloth included. I have used this filter for video and stills to enable me to shoot with wide apertures on bright days. I have not noticed any image degradation of any kind and the filter has facilitated better exposure balance across the recorded images with no colour cast or darkening at the outer edges of the frame.At 4mm thickness this is a substantial piece of quality glass with multicoating to preserve both the filter and the quality of light passing through it. I have not experienced any light leakage as the fit is very good and being glass it does not readily attract airborne particles. There has been no reduction in image sharpness while shooting stills or video while using it.Being only a two stop filter it is more suited to managing light in normal shooting situations as it does not reduce light sufficiently to create long exposure stills on bright days. It is tailored more for situations where a more subtle reduction in light can provide additional creative control and preventing over exposure.In summary this NEEWER "4 x 5.65" ND filter is a great addition to my kit which performs very well for both stills and video capture. It is in my opinion reasonably priced taking into account the overall quality and included cleaning cloth and case. I have no hesitation in providing this five star review.

This is a really well made ND 1.2 filter provding 4 Stops suitable for use with matte boxes great for slow shutter speeds and wide apertures, necessary for outdoor bright-light photography.The filter has a dimension of 10.16 by 14.35cm and has the ability to control shutter speed and aperture, which avoids overexposure and helps to balance image exposure. It is made of HD optical glass and is not necessarily screwed directly onto the lens. Aside from that, it blocks four stops of light from entering the camera lens and features 6.25% light transmittance. The filter has multiple layers of nanocoatings on both sides making it scratch-resistant, water-repellent, oil proof and fingerprint-resistant.This has been a great filter to test since I also own the complete set of a well-known brand. These are surprisingly similar in terms of quality and optics but cost less than half as much. They are also made of optical glass, which is very well made and does not introduce any colour cast at all. Although I can attest that this filter is unaffected by water, I am unable to comment on the filter's resistance to oil or scratches because I haven't tried to put these claims to the test.All in all, I can say that this filter feels sturdy, and more than up to handling whatever I throw at it. Particularly for the price, the Neewer 4-stop ND 1.2 filter is excellent quality.

Great glass ND filter when maintaining optimum ISO 800. This filter allows me to shoot in daylight and keep the ISO SET. I should have bought the ND 3 for three stops, but 2 stops + a polarizer keeps my ISO at the optimum setting and I only need to adjust the f stop.

Neewer ND 0.6 filter is priced at $102.99 without discount or coupon at the time of writing this review, which is very reasonable considering its overall quality. For those who are not familiar with ND filters, there are two main varieties - square and circular. Square filters like this one slot in and out of a holder that is attached to the lens in advance. Circular lenses screw directly onto your lens. What square filters come in handy is that if you use them with an ultra-wide angle lens like a fisheye lens, you are less likely to run into issues. Neewer is a new player in the photography equipment/accessories market that’s based in China. I own quite a few different products from them over the years. In my experience, Neewer filter quality is very decent, but not at the same level as the Japanese/German ones like Hoya or B+W. Having said that, Neewer offers a very affordable price to own and you get a really good value out of it. This ND filter is a good example, it is a nice quality glass with multi-layer coating. It also comes with a nice storage pouch. Overall this is a very nice ND filter that’s budget-friendly.

I bought this one and the darker 10 stops. Neewer created some great ND with this. Using it with a Smallrig Matte Box frame and it comes with a magnetic pouch that also fits the filter mounted to the smallrig frame. I need it for my Sirui 1.6x T2.9 50mm lens. It's perfect. No issues
