First class
Already own one of these this is my second I’ve had the original one for quite some time Works. First time every time Rackmounted easy to use don’t use the five pin sockets so put black tape over them as sometimes in bad light Trying to plug in a three pin XLR into a five pin socket size that no problems

Great Value for money
Although the Dj Branded end of the Chauvet range this DMX Spliiter/Buffer is excellent value for money giving you 4 optical isolated outputs on 3 & 5 pin XLR with the flexibility of 3 & 5pin inputs and Through outputs to link more units. This unit can either be rack mounted or truss hung accepting a G clamp at the rear. Note:- The THRU output is not isolated and just designed to be a link through. Only use one of the XLR's on each output ( you cant split DMX twice) either the 3 or 5 pin.

Datastream
Really pleased with the Datastream. Wouldn’t be without it! The only negative if any is that it wasn’t supplied with a 13amp plug

Does what it says
Bought this as first step of installing extensive DMX cabling in a village hall. Works fine.

Used in a mobile DJ system, easy way to avoid DMX cables crossing back and forth on the stage. Basically DMX IN, DMX THROUGH (as in a traditional fixture) and FOUR additional DMX outputs that are electrically isolated from the IN/THOUGH connection. LED indicator when DMX signal is present and LED indicator for power. No switches, or options, connect DMX cables and apply electric power to the Data Stream 4 and you now have your DMX universe split into many cables. Unit just works, no latency is noticeable in the light show compared to when it's connected as a standard single DMX universe compared to when the signal is split using this device. Don't forget to terminate each DMX run.

This thing works great! Really cleared up some of the signal gremlins that had plagued the small theater I use this for. The ability to use 3pin and 5 pin devices concurrently is also fantastic since we have a combination of professional DMX gear and prosumer DMX gear. Really saves the effort of having to create 5pin to 3pin DMX cables. My only complaint is that the green signal lights are RIDICULOUSLY bright. You literally can't look directly at them if you are in a dark room with the device.

Works as Expected. Individual LEDS to show traffic over each DMX output. Good Value Dmx Iso Spliter

I love that it has 4 independently isolated outputs, and it will convert 3 to 5 or 5 to 3 pins on each output separately... that is all great. Short depth, fits perfect in a short "effects rack". But OMG the LEDs on this thing are BRIGHT ! There was an ominous green glow on the ceiling 12 feet above my (up-facing) rack from the LEDs on the front of this thing. I'm going to have to put some black electrical tape over the LEDs. Seriously guys, put a dimmer or something on that. Or a switch. It's really not necessary for every output to have its own indicator. There's no possibility of changing what a given output is doing, if the unit is on, then they're all on.
