I recently purchased an X-Tool D1 laser and found taking it outside to work on my projects to be a pain. So I purchased this cover to see if I could work on my projects inside the house. I have had it about a month and it seems to work pretty good. It was extremely easy to put together and setup. It fit directly over the laser with no issues, even with the leg extensions. The cover came folded and had some creases in it, so I left it out in the sun for about an hour and the creases seems to have minimize. It's plastic, so they won't disappear completely. I vented the unit out a window next it and it seems to be doing a descent job. It's not 100% sealed but does a good job venting most of the smell out the vent. I created a window vent that I could remove when not using the unit. The window vent is made up of a 4 inch vent connector purchased from Amazon and a small piece of scrap wood. I also used polyurethane on the wood to seal it so if it rains it wouldn't rot the wood.

Yes, you read that right! Being too cold out to run this out in my non-heated garage, I was using my ceramic stove top'd convection oven's vent to force all fumes outside. (Just place the honeycomb centered and turn vent on HIGH).This allows me to enclose the LONGER RAY5 20W I just got for myself and run an exhaust fan out near the dryer outlet. Quiets the overly-noisy laser fan (which has not shut off - manually or G-code - which I may mode later).The INCLUDED LED Strip (which was THE main reason I opted for his brand especially with the Cyber Monday Deal!) is so bright! It is great! Other brands opt for tinted or colorized "windows", but I like being able to see through this clear panel. (I haven't mounted a camera yet, but the frame of this unit should allow that perfectly.)The fan does ok, but if your outside port is further away, you may need to invest in an in-line more powerful version which is what I'll do when I have a more permanent location.The only thing I see "indifferent" with this is that it isn't "truly" enclosed - it has a open bottom. That is good in that it allows air to inlet for the fan to outlet it along with the fumes, but just be cognizant of that so that your tabletop isn't too small to allow overhang for the fumes to escape - if that made any sense. I'm sure we could have a meshed net inlet on the opposite corner and seal the bottom which would allow all things to still work properly and avoid fumes from escaping.

The construction is very nice, easy to put together. The light does not stay stuck to the support bars but they do provide velcro so it doesn't fall off altogether. My biggest problem is it is about 1" to small around to use with my Tusy B1 Laser Engraver.. I got it to semi work by strategically placing the supports under the machine but as you can see in the photo's there isn't a nice seal around the machine. I see no reason why this wouldn't work very well with a smaller dimension machine!!

This product works perfect. Solved the smell of stink in up the garage. Cut out a 4.25 circle in a plastic board and ran and connected hose venting ut out the side vent of house. Works perfect. Easy to assemble and the LED light was a bonus. Love my setup now !!! On problem is I wish the smoke exit was universal in either side not just right side as my vent is closer to left and have to fully extend hose to work but it’s fine. Zip tied and it’s all nice .

Before this. I was setting off my smoke detectors on main floor and my Engraver is in basement. This drastically reduces the smoke. Unless you have a completely sealed box wich are expensive, there will be a little leakage of smell. I like the attached suction fan. It's vented out the window behind. The vent tube is plenty long and can be expanded. It is also light-weight which makes it easy to lift up off engraving area when needed. The zippers are pretty heavy duty and smooth. Also, the usb LED strip included is a must. It lights up the work area well. Overall, I'd recommend this product.

Assembly isn't bad but you'll need 10 minutes of complete focus. Material seems good but there are some true design flaws.#1 Exhaust fan is just not strong enough.#2 Fumes come out the zipper.#3 Depending on your laser printer (I use an xtool) you'll have to lift the whole thing up to load a large panel on the laser bed.#4 With no bottom, and being very light material, it gets bumped around and lets fumes out.#5 While using air assist, the problem of the much too weak exhaust fan only gets worse.#6 It needs an additional light strip for true functionality of the light.#7 cannot be added on to if adding an extension kit to your laser. (Full disclosure not many do make them expandable)Is it complete junk? No. With some minor design changes it could be great.Would I recommend it? No. Not without design changes.Would I buy it again? Absolutely not. I've already started designing my own hood with a much more powerful fan that I will be building soon. I was hoping not to have to spend the money to do that, because anything made like this is just not an option.

I was pleased with the ease it assembled and got a surprised it included a led light strip.

Took only about 15 minutes to set up. The LED strip is very helpful. Much heavier duty tent and much larger than I expected. My Sculpfun s30 pro fits inside with lots of room around the frame and gantry.So far no fumes, but will likely need a helper fan with longer runs of smellier materials. Overall very happy so far.
