Too hard ingredients will break the juicer. Gingers should be cut thinly across the tough fibers. Too soft ingredients, e.g., bananas, Kiwi fruits, mangos are difficult to be squeezed. Hard apples are good for juicing; soft apples are not. Soft ingredients are ideal for smoothies / sorbets.2. There will be some fine pulps in the juice. This machine is excellent. Really good quality parts, solid not flimsy. It can handle most veg and fruit easily and gives you exceptional juice. I make mainly veg juices and the machine breaks them down well and creates a smooth juice. The wide chute is easy to use and you dont have to chop your ingredients up too much. Although its called a slow masticater its still pretty quick acting and doesnt take long to make a juice. It takes longer to clean it than it does to make a juice. The cleaning is not too bad, there is a fiddly little bit of silicon on the bottom which you have to remove each time to clean and then remember to close back up before you next use it. But i can forgive the machine for it if it means that is the way to get excellent juice.
