Our delonghi KG79 is set to a medium grind, and kettle at 95 degrees makes for a great cafetiere every time. Even tastes great once it's gone cold. The beans certainly retain their quality that long. After taking a portion, expel any air. Roll down the top as far as possible. I ground them using an electric grinder and them put them in my coffee machine. You can get small coffee filter gadets that fit over a mug if you want to make just one cup at a time. This bag of coffee last 1 month making a pot of 6 cups each day. It would therfore last much longer if you are just making a cup a time. In any case you need to grind the beans first or just buy ground coffee of your choice. Hope this helps A.
