I have severe chemical/fume respiratory sensitivities. I finally found a product that I can use without doing myself harm. After all, this product is one of the basic ingredients in many shampoos in the store - before the manufacturers add in emolients and fragrances and a hundred other chemicals.

It just worked as expected and arrived promptly.

I used to make my own bath & body products years ago (hand soaps, hand sanitizers, makeup remover and shampoo), but I got busy and unfortunately stopped. I have become even more of a skincare junkie since then, and I spend A LOT of time researching different ingredients and formulations. Now that I have a MUCH better understanding of how things work and what ingredients benefit each other, I'm back to creating my own formulas. Knowledge is definitely power. Plus, when you get a formula right and have an amazing, natural product to use that you know is 100% safe- it is SUCH an amazing feeling!I picked up this Coco Glucoside to use/try in a few different things-First, I am trying to perfect a gentle foaming face wash that even removes waterproof mascara (Coconut oils are like kryptonite to waterproof mascara!) and I also am playing around with an exfoliating hand wash. This stuff is pretty excellent to be honest and it has brought my formulations from ok to pretty darn awesome!The bottle arrived quick, bagged and complete with a safety seal under the cap. There were no leaks upon arrival. The bottle is a bit small, just 8oz, which is fine for smaller batches of product and experimenting.The product is somewhat clear and translucent, which is notable because other coco glucoside products I've used have had more of a yellowish color. I'm not quite sure how or why this is clear, but I actually prefer it as it keeps my products looking very clean/nice. It has a thickness of a 7.25 on my thickness scale (1 being water, 10 being a thick body butter). While it is thick, it is easy to work with and blends well. It feels very silky on it's own and rinses off well without leaving any residue behind.This has absolutely no scent, thankfully.I haven't had a single issue mixing this with any of my other ingredients, which surprised me quite a bit (I'm not just mixing it with anything though, rather I know what will play nice with this and what wont). It has been a KEY ingredient in keeping my formulas from separating in the containers.This helps produce a very rich, creamy and dense lather, especially paired with different foaming agents. I feel like the addition of this gives the lather more body (density) and helps the product lather quicker. I appreciate how well this works, as I'm not a fan of using sulfides (which would be the alternative).I have sensitive skin and my daughters skin is INCREDIBLY sensitive (and as a 13yo, quite acne prone too). The addition of this to my formulas hasn't caused any adverse reactions.Overall, this is a pretty awesome product. I will keep playing with it and perfecting my formulas and then more than likely order the 32oz bottle next time.

If you like your shampoos and cleansers to really foam and lather, this product is for you! It works well when used as directed. It only takes a tiny amount to create a lot of lather, so this bottle will last a long time! I just put a few drops of shampoo in my palm followed by 1 drop of this stuff, add water and the shampoo foams up at least 3 times as much as it does by itself! It is odorless so it won't change the product's scent. I'm sure it's great for making your own shampoos and body washes as well. Seems like a pretty good value to me, and I like that it doesn't contain harsh chemicals. I'm happy with this item and recommend it highly!

Great for making your own soaps, shampoos, and facial cleasers. The bottle is sealed, and the cap was on tight, plus it was packaged in a plastic bag, so no leaks during shipment, and it arrived quickly. I couldn't detect any scent, and I thought that was great. I'm just beginning to learn how to make soaps, so I look forward to trying this product.
