It was really hard to figure out because I have straight hair. But it was really cute when it was up.

These are cheaply made. It pulled my hair out when trying to fully remove it. It would not stay closed, popping open a few seconds after engaging closure. When I finally got it to stay closed it immediately slipped down my hair - even while walking out of the bathroom where I did my hair! My hair is not thin nor thick, about average. I’m returning this item.

Because they open on both ends it's highly likely that one end will pop open when you're trying to close the other. They hold well once you fight to get them closed, but I would not recommend

The media could not be loaded. Coming from an avid banana clip wearer - these butterfly clips suck, and please do not let this be your first impression of a banana clip. They are incredible, but this one is not. Honestly, don’t buy it at all.Starting with the only reason it is getting two stars:1) it is a banana clip and2) it does clip.Now the issues:1) The bottom of the clip and tangles and breaks my hair no matter how I do it, so does the top but you can manage the top by not allowing your hair to reach the top of the clip, however, this completely defeats the purpose of it being a banana clip;2) it does not open wide enough to be able to manage the process of putting your hair up, especially if you have thick hair, which is incredibly ridiculous, since:3) I have somewhat thick hair and it does not hold my hair in place. It falls within minutes from the place I put it in (I have had this issue with other banana clips, but usually not as quickly) because, somehow, even though it doesn’t open very wide when open, it spreads incredibly wide while closed.The only way that I could see this being a functional everyday butterfly clip is if you’re going for a mohawk on top of the head look, which I am not. MAYBE it could be okay for someone with straight VERY thick hair, but that is not me.

Banana clips are what I needed to hold my hair up off my neck. They came on the date expected and in perfect condition

Gave the look I was aiming for. I wish it was a little tighter and less bendy but it worked just fine for my shoulder length hair. Hasn't broken yet and snaps closed with no issues.
