simply detailed booked that just sums it up!
I would definitely recommend this book. I’ve been strength training for about 6 months and I’m really hoping now I have more knowledge on the nutrition side and taking care of my body everything will finally come together. Thanks so much Marc!

It's just sensible
This book could usefully be read by anyone – not just those who want to gain strength.Three years ago I suffered constant pain, hobbled when I walked , had greatly interrupted nights and was fearful when not in sight of a lavatory.A nutritionist put me right. I now sleep well, have no pain, am happy to undertake 10 mile walks and have no problems with my digestive system. That nutritionist was not Mac McLean, but it could have been – because he offers the same advice. Regardless of whether you want to lift weights (as it happens – I do !) – anyone who follows this advice will feel better. It’s just sensible. But Marc provides psychological and scientific backing for this common sense.I think the chapter on gut health could usefully have less science and more emphasis on actual foods, rather than theoretical foods.Overall – an excellent guide to eating well

Good Overview of Stenght Nutrition
This book has a good overview of stenght nutrition for beginners, although it does push a few personal view points, for example vegan protein powder is better than whey protein, ok a avoiding dairy does have its plus sides, but it fails to mention the Amion Acid profile of Whey compared to plant based protein power is far more beneficial for muscle gain.

Great read!
Great book! Simple and effective information which is easy to digest, handy for a upcoming/new PT (it's similar information you will be sharing with your clients) or a gym goer who's information is cloudy when it comes to nutrition.Straight up information with no nitty gritty, it's definitely cleared up a few things I wasn't too sure about.

Simple brief comprehensive good sense
I have read and tried most fashionable diets over the last 20 years. Marc shows obvious knowledge and experience of these as well as the science that informs them. This short book is a concise critique of the pros and cons of nutrition for strength training and good health including the use of supplements. Good sense told in a friendly supportive way. Highly recommended !
