A nice firm aluminium laptop stand that folds out smoothly and feels strong. I got it for my ageing Macbook which gets a little warm now, despite cleaning the fluff out. The span of the stand is about 50% of the width of the laptop, which was initially unnerving because I thought that the whole thing would rock from side to side. It hasn't, simple as that.The use of aluminium ensures that more heat is conducted away from the base of the computer. Another design feature I looked out for was the size of the lugs at the front, which stop the laptop sliding off the stand. Some other makes have large lugs which obstruct the use of the touchpad. Not in this case.

the product arrived very fast, and packed very well. when i unpacked it, was worried whether it will support a macbook or even a mobile phone however i was proven wrong, it not only supports a laptop but holds it with its non-slip fixtures so that the stand does not glide or slip away on the desk.very pleased with the product and have been using it from the day it arrived. I will need to monitor how it works or holds longer and might update this review if i get time later.highly recommended for such small price but worth every penny.

Easy to use and versatile. Wanted it for my Chromebook but good for video chatting on my phone too.

- I bought this to replace a larger laptop cooler that took up too much desk space. Even at the lowest setting there is approx. 5 cm of free air under the laptop to keep it cool.- The large size works well with a 13" laptop and appears to have a wide enough footprint for up to 17".- The stand is nicely machined and is made of a decent alloy. It feels sturdy with no sharp edges.- I like how there is no plastic in the pivots or joints so expect this to last a long time.- As you raise the stand the laptop keyboard will tilt accordingly, best to use with a separate keyboard and mouse
