I have arthritis in my fingers and wrists, and can't open ring pull cans at all. As my new dog only likes tinned food I was really struggling to cope. This gadget has solved that problem for me, working well on large cans of dog food. It doesn't work for me on ring can tins of soup. You need quite a lot of strength to pull it towards you once the end is beneath the ring - which you also have to lever up first - and perhaps I lack that strength. Whatever the reason it won't work on soup, despite the illustration! So I like it, but it's not a complete success and the tip is quite thick and bulky.

Able to open dog food tins easily, as well as tinned food for humans.Finding it hard to open some tins these days with having joint problems, especially so with tins of dog food and some baked bean makes. The little ring seems too close to the tin and no space to slip anything under to lever it up.This device is great, just stick it under the ring and pull back on yourself, yes you do require a little strength to pull it back but at least no cut fingers from trying to stick a knife or such under the ring. Have done in the last to try to open a tin but no more. You do need both hands though to use this, no good if you have had a hand op as you need one to hold the tin the other to use this under the ring.For the price cheaper than going to the shops to buy it, also not all shops even the big department stores have them, at the mobility shops more money.

Great price and works well, it really is a must have for anyone with bad wrists. I've carpal tunnel and normally I try and avoid ring pull tins because they're a real hassle and really hurt my wrists trying to pull them off but this wee gadget definitely makes the job quick and pain free 😊 For fussy folk I will say I've noticed that some tins you need to losen the ring pull a little with a knife first to wedge this gadget in but I can't complain as its such a huge help and removes the pain.

Its not blue as description says and its not stainless steel either its red plastic, it is easy to use but you have to hold the can with one hand and open the clip with the other and its best to put a tea towel under the can to stop it moving about .... the point that goes under the can ring does not seem as strong and it may snap easy dissapointing as its not how its described

I ordered one of these and another marked AgeUK which looked similar costing less.They were in different packaging but absolutely identical even in colour. This one was the more expensive.I found the end would not fit in the rings on Sainsbury's own brand cola. I snipped a little bit of plastic off each side of the business end and it then fitted.Nothing wrong with pulling but I had to use something to raise the ring a little.When I bought two of these this one was the dearest ///// I notice the price shown on the page now is actually less than the other one I bought. The price must have been reduced since I bought it.

Fabulous little gadget - so simple yet very effective. I have reduced strength in my finger tips and have been finding opening tins (especially tuna tins) virtually impossible but this little gadget means I no longer have to go in search of help every time I want a sandwich. You simply hook the pointed end under the ring pull to force it up then turn it round and roll the gadget backwards to peel off the lid. Success every time. Got one for my mother in law too.

Living by myself and having my dominant hand in a plaster cast I was a bit worried about how I would feed the dog. Works brilliantly. Was bigger than i thought it would be. Only small issue took quite a while to arrive after I wad informed it had been dispatched. Would recommend.
