Good but does not seem to meet specs
If you're shopping for this type of fabric you probably already know about the website that sells ripstop by the roll (or by the yard), and you know this is much cheaper, but you may also be concerned about quality, especially given the other review stating lack of waterproofness. I was too, but figured I'd give it a shot.Regarding weight. It should be 15.212m square, and at 48gsm weigh 586g. It actually weighs 735g which is 60.2gsm or 2.2oz-sm.Regarding size, the fabric is indeed 60" wide but has the selvedge still, so only 58ish inches are useable.Regarding waterproofness, as you can see from the high tech test device, I was able to simulate rough 100mmh2o. After 2.5 hours, there were a few drops that penetrated the fabric and the fabric had "wetted out" which I also tried to capture in the last photo. If I were using this to make a backpack cover, I'd feel confident that it could keep water out (this is my reason for purchase), but I would not use this as a ground sheet for a tent that I expected to use in the rain.I think this fabric would be great for a test project, and you could make something that lasted quite a while, giving enough time to really refine a design before making it out of more costly material. In any case, I'd recommend some DWR spray to increase repellant capacity. All in all, I believe that it's short term performance is reasonable, and that it is good for the weight and price (half that of a higher quality alternative) but can't give five stars because it doesn'tmeet the published manufacturer specs. As a final note, the performance I experienced matches the pergola review, so that's good for consistency!

Its great solution, but water resistantance is questionable and colors are a little off
So we have a 36 foot pergola and wanted a reasonable inexpensive solution to create a rain protector with fabric. This 40D nylon is suppose to be waterproof, so we got the long version and fed it through the beams and it did hold the rain for a few days when it spits, but when it really rains, there was a little bit of water getting through on some of the areas of the fabric, not all, so id call this water resistant, but not 100% waterproof, It's little disappointing also on the color front, we ordered 1 white long nylon sheet, but then we ordered 2 more and the white color was completely different than the other so now we're kinda stuck with different white colors. So not sure what to do here since we need another white sheet. I hope this holds up in winter or it'll be a waste of a lot of money.

advertised size is misleading
The material is fine, but the advertised size is midleading. In the package I received (6 colors) the pieces are 60" x 36 ish", Not the advertised 60" x 196". So if you order the multiple color package the 196" is divided by 6.
