Tough 1 Protect O Boot, Royal Blue, Large

I just got a horse off the track and we immediately noticed him limping, turns out he had an abscess in his hoof. I used this to cover the bandage he kept getting off and it worked wonderfully. I also put an epsom salt soak in here with his hoof and it was way easier than trying to get him to stand in a bucket for 10 minutes. I'll be getting at least one in each size to keep on hand for my other horses.

Put one on a front hoof of my horse while letting an abscess heal. Tough boot, comfortable for the horse, hasn't come off. The velcro wrap is a little dainty, I put a wrap of gorilla tape over the top of it and have had zero issues.

Arrived very quickly, was super simple to put on and fit very well according to the chart and had room for a diaper/poultice. Was very easy to get on and off and tighten. One caveat is the strap broke within a few days but my boy is active during turnout.

Fit my Irish sport horse who is probably a size 3. Not for your average TB, QH or arab, would be too big. Also would probably be too small for a size 5. It did rub a bit after being on 2 days will only a short break off, but it was worth it to let my horse go out before his abscess was fully healed!

My farrier clipped my mare's right front hoof a little too much and she seemed fine after a couple of days. However, when she wants attention, she bangs her hoofs on the pipe corral and seemed to re-injure herself by doing this and chasing and bossing my gelding around all day. I bought this to protect her foot since she wouldn't take it easy on herself for a couple of days. It went on easily and Luna seemed grateful. She seems to be able to remove anything, but not this. I can't keep a fly mask on her for more than an hour. She has also not destroyed it or damaged it in any way, which is a first. She is turned out 100% of the time and is doing fine with the boot. She has had it on for 3 days and will have it on four a couple more before the farrier comes to check her again. The boot has a great amount of room for adjustment around the fetlock and is well-secured. Luna can't get it off or it just doesn't bother her at all or both. I did also put on one of her leg wraps just because it seemed a little less awkward for her to wal normally with the wrap on. Luna says five stars.

Love this boot! I have a horse who is prone to hoof abscesses and normally I would soak it and then make a big mess wrapping it with a diaper, vet wrap and duct tape to keep it clean. This boot works perfectly for both soaking and also keeping her hoof clean even turned out in the paddock. It really does stay on! I have two of them now and no longer worry so much about hoof abscesses. This boot makes it much easier to care for and mange!

I called tough1 for sizes and even that isnt accurate. plus the the blue rubber on top they do not stay on . I returned mine after going thru 2 sizes.

I had purchased this exact boot a few months ago. It was labeled and fit perfectly. So I ordered a 2nd one. This did not have a brand name and was significantly smaller than the first. It is really hard to slide on.I think it’s great for soaking, but if the horse lifts his hoof, the liquid pours out. The ankle doesNot get a tight fit at all. This limits it’s use for things like White Lightening which require a long soak, then a time with the left over gases. The is nicely formed with great cushioning. The ankle straps are a bit awkward, but not bad. A handle topull the boot on with would be nice. If your horse does not cooperate you can lose the liquid before you start. I recommend putting it on first, then adding liquid.

This boot helped hold my boys poultice wrap on his foot. He is a large for most products but could've used a medium boot, but it does it’s job, served the purpose well and stayed on his foot for the time I needed it to. I’m very happy with this purchase :)

Bought to poultice my horse. Worked great, stayed in place, fit well and durable. I bought the large, it measured 6" across. My boys hoof is 5.5", but once it had a poultice on too it fit perfectly

The product was way too big for my horse and the blue plastic is not very flexible which would cause rubbing. I am going to return it.

Great boot. Went on easily. He measures 6” across and large boot fitted well. Had to put tape around the Velcro to secure it Quite smelly if inside gets wet works better with dry poultice. Less smelly. Def worth it to allow horse to stay out.
