Ubiquiti US-8-150W 150 W 8 Port UniFi PoE Switch

Great product but make sure it really works for you. Do you really need 8 POE ports? Are you trying to run other switches of it using POE? If you’re absolutely sure then it’s a great centrepiece; powerful, robust, high availability...and a little warm.Be aware - this switch can run the Ubiquiti US-8 and the Flex Mini. But it will not power a US-8-60W, so don’t make the mistake of thinking it will.For many applications you will likely find US-8-60W adequate for purpose and quite a bit cheaper too. But do be aware you CAN’T run the US-8 off the POE port of a US-8-60W.The great thing is this is really easy to install using the Unifi Software. Absolute cinch to set up and then it basically looks after itself. Can be configured to auto install software updates with no intervention.

Excellent switch, easy to configure, with rapid switch capability, it has massively sped up my network compared to the unmanaged switches I was using previously.Also runs at <70 degrees c when ambient temps are around 40, so works perfectly in my loft.

If you are in the Unifi ecosystem and are enjoying excellent WiFi and networking, and want to expand, this is a must buy.Does al you can expect of it, without missing a beat and is surprisingly large (bigger than the 60W switches ).Its been totally reliable and forms a useful part of my Unfi setup.Highly recommended

I was fed up of running my UniFi Access points with power injectors, due to the amount of sockets and space they were taking up. Because my AP's are the legacy units they require Passive 24v POE and that's not always easy to get from other manufacturers.So I took the plunge and went for this switch. After wiring it up, it was immediately adopted by my controller and after a firmware update I was able to start configuring ports.It's just so incredibly easy and well worth the cost. It looks great but it does belt out quite a lot of heat, I'm guessing the whole aluminium case is the heatsink on account of it being fanless. For that reason it can't be rack mounted or too close to other devices for airflow. That said I've broken the rules slightly in my setup and have my switch just resting on the corner of it but I do intend to get a rack shelf at some point just incase.Overall another 1st class product from Ubiquiti.

Great little device shows lots of info easy to use adopted by Unifi software, maybe runs a little toasty at 60-64 degrees. Will be setting up some vlans on this along with another Unifi switch the Flex mini. Working well with two Unifi access points, so far with ease might add some cameras at a later date. Will try to update review after some further testing.

Great switch. Significant build quality improvement over the us-8-60w.I have this switch connected to my aggregate XG switch and it’s been rock solid feeding edge devices with and without POE. Easy to adopt and easy to manage using UniFi, easy to upgrade when firmware updates are made available. Runs silently. A great investment.

The device itself is the good quality Ubiquiti got us used to. This is a nice companion to the unifi access points as the PoE in all ports reduces cable clutter conveniently providing both network and power in the same cable. You can even power cycle a specific port remotely if you need to.But be prepared to buy an extra C13 power lead or use a spare one if you have it. I got a unit on Prime and it came with the wrong power lead. So I returned it while ordering another hoping to get it sorted.Bummer, the new unit also came with the wrong power lead so I could not use it until I bought the correct one separately.I don't know how it's possible that the manufacturer packed the wrong leads, but hey.My 3 star is just because I could not get the installation started over two days because of a silly power lead.

Well made does the job to power my poe camera's.but sometimes it does get really hot since it does not have fans to cool it.so make sure its installed in a well ventilated area.

Prodotto eccellente, uno dei migliori sul mercato, Funziona egregiamente. Se poi viene aggiunto e adottato ad una rete Ubiquiti, allora esprime il massimo delle sue performance. Si vede che è un prodotto di qualità già dalla scatola e poi basta prenderlo in mano per capire che non è un giocattolo. Lo consiglio vivamente, ma è preferibile comprarlo per aggiungerlo ad una rete composta da dispositivi Ubiquiti (USG access points Unifi PoE....), comprarlo singolarmente per una rete diversa significherebbe sprecarlo.

I have 5 UniFi access points, 2 24-port UniFi poe switches, a UniFi Gateway and now an 8-port UniFi switch for my office. As you can tell, I'm VERY satisfied with this line from Ubiquiti Networks. If I didn't already have a bunch of ip cameras, I'd have UniFi cameras also!This switch is just as easy to configure as the larger 24-port switches!

Bon switch de niveau 2, le niveau 3 peut être porté par un routeur ou firewall du même constructeur et pas cher, la solution de management centralisé est gratuit équivalente à un SDM est fiable et intuitive, je recommande fortement ce produit aux amateurs et pro surtout aux entreprises qui ont assez de de faire plumer par les dominants du marche comme Cisco ou HP...

Der US-8-150W unterstützt nicht nur IEEE 802.3af/at PoE/PoE+ sondern auch 24V passive PoE welches für die UniFi Access Points und Unifi Video Kameras benötigt wird. Achtung, der kleinere US‑8‑60W unterstützt 24V passive PoE nicht!Die Konfiguration läuft bei UniFi über den "UniFiController", nicht über ein Web GUI. Die Controller Software ist jedoch so einfach aufgebaut dass sich auch komplexere Aufgaben leicht erledigen lassen. In Kombination mit einem "Cloud Key" ist der Fernzugriff ein Kinderspiel.Woran es bei UniFi jedoch generell etwas hapert ist die Unterstützung anderer Sprachen. Daher sollte man sich darauf einstellen die Konfiguration in englischer Sprache vorzunehmen.Fazit:Der Switch ist definitiv etwas kostspieliger, aber seine Leistung sowie die Konfiguration wissen zu überzeigen. Darüber hinaus pflegt Ubiquiti seine Produkte mit sehr häufigen Firmware Updates und im Gegensatz zu anderen Herstellern ist der (Englisch sprachige) Support nicht nur schnell sondern auch noch kompetent.

el producto ha cumplido todas mis espectativas, lo busque por recomendacion y no me ha defraudado, es facil de configurar y mas de instalar, sobre todo si usas otros elemento ubiquiti, lo elegi por ser configurable disponer de dos tomas spf y poe con lo que no necesito alimentar los puntos de acceso. Lo recomiendo a todas aquellas personas que quieren instalar una minima red en casa o la oficina con pocos o nulos conocimientos y que estan hartos de usar otros productos de marcas mas conocidas para redes y que al final siempre dan problemas de instalacion o configuracion.
