Makin' Moonshine in the Dayshine
If anyone asks about this product, tell 'em it's perfect. I didn't know anything about distilling anything, much less "Home Moonshine"... Didn't have to go deep into a forest or wear dirty clothes with a floppy old hat. I'm on my 5th 5gal. Bourbon kit now and aging the "Shine" in 1 liter Oak Barrels. I got an 8gallon pot to do the distilling using the original 5gal. To cook the Cracked Corn Mash and use a 7gal. Fermentation Tank. We're getting about 6 pints of very strong BOOZE on each of the "runs". I want to move beyond the "Beginner" level pretty soon.

Surprisingly good recipe even though I messed up
It has everything you need and the instructions are good. I messed up by not clearing out the mash, as well as running too hot. I was able to filter it out a bit and then age it. It still ended up tasting pretty good even with my cheap still.

Strong bourbon
Made decent 120 proof bourbon but had to wing it cause the instructions inside the box were terrible for a beginner first time. I had to look up how to make bourbon to get a better explanation on how to use the ingredients.

THIS IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS
it doesn’t tell you if your amylase is alpha or beta. This is inportant futher more it tells you to add the yeast as dry … DO NOT DO THIS if you look up the actual instruction for included yeast it says it’s 20 min hydration time before adding … the yeast they sent is not DADY yeast. It’s actually for wine and beer. Seems like you took beer instructions. Broke it down and tried to convert it to mash… the grains are good. Idea is there. But NOT FOR BEGINNERS … there is no glucoamylase … it all becomes very murky and I had to go buy my own alpha. Luckily I have DADY yeast as the at I’ve made some before … I do NOT recommend this to ANY BEGINNER and any advanced distiller would toss there instructions on the trash. Again DO NOT BUY THIS. IT WILL LEAD YOU ASTRAY

I bought this kit was very disappointed. I am a seasoned bourbon drinker and I think it tastes like crap. the only way I could stand to drink it I had the blend in a few bottles a Canadian whiskey into it to kill the corn taste. I felt Ripped off on the price. Thx and good luck from Canada!!!
