All in all I really like this game
All in all I really like this game. A worthy addition to the franchise following the debacle of Ground Zero. Snake is back doing what he does best, stealthily kicking ass. The game is set over the same maps with various different missions, go kill him, extract him, find the blueprints etc. On several missions you will go back to places you have already been, but unlike Ground Zero there are plenty of missions over different maps so it is not repetitive. The game is not however without its flaws, here is some of the bad:1. Snake is now a cripple. Not only has he only got one eye, he now has only one arm! He now uses a prosthetic arm which has various functions such as sonar, stun and knock abilities. Snake also has a patch work quilt for a face, covered in scars and also a horn! Yes a horn on his forehead which acts as an antenna to receive communications. Getting a bit much tho isn't it!2. No matter what terrain snake is on whether it be grass, rock, concrete, wood etc it always sounds like he is squelching through mud. Every step no mater if he is running, walking or even crawling on his stomach squelch squelch squelch....3. This game has seen the introduction of D-Horse and D-Dog. D-Dog is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard and will NOT obey your commands. D-Horse (I nicknamed mine Derrick) on the other hand is very useful. He can be ridden deep into enemy territory by simply hanging on the other side so enemies cannot see you. A nice touch. However D-Horse is almost impossible to control at those delicate moments when trying to infiltrate enemy lines. Most of the time he starts jumping round whilst trying to step over a blade of grass or a rock..and then giving you away to the enemy.4. The game has seen the introduction of a massively overly complicated menu screen which covers a whole host of things from weapon development, mother base upgrades, staff management, weapon upgrades, side missions, staff side missions etc etc etc. By god its complicated! I would rather they focused more on the game play than this.I do however love the following:1. Graphics are beautiful.2. A wide variety of missions.3. The game is big - no Ground Zero in sight!4. Cut scenes are not too long. Unlike older Metal Gear games they have kept the cut scenes relevant and short.5. Voice acting is superb. Kiefer Sutherland does a good job here. But why is he the voice of several characters? Getting their monies worth?6. Game can be played in several different ways from stealth to guns blazing - your choice. So all in all a great game. Glad to see Snake back on top form ( whats left of him anyway)

Great fun
Always wanted to run around afghanistan as a one-eyed, grizzled man possibly in his 50's, charging at unsuspecting Russians, knocking them out, before attaching them to a giant balloon which is caught by a helicopter and takes them back to my floating oil rig base in the middle of the ocean where i keep my giant metal dinosaur-like mech, that i stole from a floating child wearing a gas mask and a man with no face. All after i watched a helicopter getting eaten by a giant flaming whale. True story.

Great, I was expecting big things from this and wasn't disappointed.
Great, I was expecting big things from this and wasn't disappointed. The new buddies are great but I find D-Horse is next to useless.. D-Dog is useful for sniffing out enemies so that is a welcome addition as it saves me getting the binoculars out :p I haven't yet found D-Walker yet but I'm only 11 hours in so we'll see. Graphics look stunning, cut scenes aren't too long. Menu screen is complex, far too many options for a person like who just likes to pick up and play and not invest months of my life into a game.

Very fun!
A fantastic game that should be experienced by any gamer that loves the mgs franchise. It’s also fairly comfortable for newcomers to the series because the storyline of mgs is so insanely complicated it doesn’t matter where you even start tbhI’ve had hours and hours of fun with this game, I love how you can choose different ways of completing tasks instead of the usual guns blazing way. It has the delightfully campy mgs charm throughout.

Just buy it
You'd have to be pretty puddled to dislike Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Ground Zeroes made a good lead up to this game and The Phantom Pain delivered one of the best stories in the MGS world yet.As a person who played all of the previous MGS games before this, I have to say that The Phantom Pain is the best MGS that Kojima made. It does compete with MGS for the Playstation 1, however I would prefer to play this again rather than replaying any other MGS.

Very good
This is my first of these games, and while I don't understand the story at all, I enjoy the gameplay. It looks very nice and runs smoothly on Xbox One. It is so different than most popular games such as Halo and Call of Duty as it requires some planning and skill to infiltrate bases and eliminate targets, and for that reason it offers a fresh experience compared to run and gun type games. Overall, if you like stealth games, then this is one of the best.

Keeps you on your toes
Great game. This is one of my personal favourite games off all time. Everything works how you want it to to and you are offered complete freedom when it comes to load out.. You can choose how you want to combat a mission either stealth or guns blazing with no one telling you otherwise. Story line is great along with the game physics and enemy AI. If you like a hard challenge with in depth gameplay and tactics, then this is the game for you. :D

Good service.
I never finished the game as it got too busy and complicated. It kept changing into something else and was overall too ambitious and bogged down with too many ideas going on. They should have kept it more simple.
