Gave these as a gift to a little boy who loves bugs. He had so much fun looking at each one and digging them out. Perfect gift for an outdoor kiddo

I loved that my grandson is interested in bugs and this helps him identity them. The one thing I would change is the amber glass but its not a deal breaker.

Bought this for my 10-year old great grandniece, who’s very much into science and nature. She loved it! Her cousin was anxious to help with the digging and brushing, and then they examined the insects together. Only downside is they had finished in about 50 minutes. Then there’s nothing to do but keep and occasionally look at the insects.

This was 1 of many bday gifts for our child. She got some pretty cool hitech stuff. But this was one of her favorites. Go figure a lump of plaster with bugs in amber lol! It was a lot of fun and she was so inspired by this. It’s a great hands on toy that stimulates their minds. It says a lot about a gift they would rather be doing then being on tv or tablet. I’d give 10 stars if I could

What a great way to trick...ahem, I mean interest your kid into playing with something so educational. Niece loved the activity of 'excavating' the bugs in amber. This product provides a unique experience in learning while playing. It's too bad that you can only excavate once and the activity is over. The plus side is that she treasures the amber bugs. Now my only problem is that she wants to dig up every lump of dirt she sees :/.

Grandson loved this. He’s a Jurassic Park fan and he thought he was digging up stuff that was shown in the movie (preserved prehistoric insects). He’s 6 and definitely approves

Son had lots of fun digging up the specimens but was disappointed he had 5 of the same and there were only 8 in the kit. He was super excited to get the scorpion so that was something.Update**The seller sent us another digging kit and this time we got all the specimens listed on the box.
