Got our little super hero very excited (and into reading)
Great collection of early reading material. The price per book is very reasonable and much better than what you have to pay for each individual booklet - with some of the books in the box hard to find. Moreover it leaves us with a stock to drip-feed to our son.Our five year old son is at an age where there is nothing better than discussing and playing super heroes with his school friends. I never really got into it and don’t care much about modern day super hero movies. But he’s just fascinated, talks about nothing else while gathering knowledge about these, to me exotic heroes like Hawkeye and Iron Man .For guided reading at home I ordered a couple of the single World of Reading super hero books a few weeks ago. And he obviously loved them. I must admit it’s a very clever concept and a great motivation for him to spend some time with books. In fact I would have loved it at his age if I could learn how read from such well-presented stories about my favourite characters in attractive, colourful books. The stories are straight forward but make sense and teach your child the key characteristics and abbreviated back ground of each super hero, which is of great interest to our son.It is helping our son to read, although I must say he reads these books so many times over that he remembers the text by heart. Each book has a very clever back page that show a range of covers of other books in the series, for which our son has obviously been begging us.We now hand him a new books from this books as a reward for proper participation in swimming or martial arts classes. The next purchase might be a few loose booklets again about some of his missing charracters liek Black Panther or Thor.To conclude; this is a highly recommended cost-efficient box with 'powerful' content, very warmly received by our little bookworm.

Amazin for kids reading development
These books are great for kids, especially if they are into superheroes. I would struggle to get my child interested in books until i got these and he has been reading them over and over since. They are easy to read for a 4-5 year old and entertaining.

Great for building independent readers (probably especially boys) who are not keen on reading but like superheroes.
I was a bit sceptical about these books as my first go with my five year old son did not really capture his imagination. Probably too young. Also the "stories" are not obviously engrossing, especially for an adult. In fact the books are not really stories at all but are background information on the characters, of the "Hulk gets blasted by radiation, now he turns green when he gets angry" sort. However we returned to these with my son not very interested in reading as a six year old and now loves them. They are the first books he will pick up to read himself and does not want to put them down. I now understand the pitching of the stories. Pretty dull for adults but these are really myths, giving background and explaining characters for young readers, and drawing them into a world of independent reading.

A catalyst to reading (with a few flaws)
The spelling is American. It's full of irregular words. It doesn't match British key stage vocabulary. It isn't built on any kind of progressive learning (paw patrol do some that are which he has)HOWEVERMy 5 year old loves them and his been a catalyst to him reading EVERYTHING.He started year 1 in September and wasn't being challenged, he was sight reading the books he was given that were supposed to last week. These are a challenge for him, but it's made him want to read. And more than that, it has given him the confidence to try and read anything. So I think they're brilliant, as long as you don't mind all the other stuff they're not.

Great for Avengers fans to encourage reading
Son loves these books which encourages him to read. These enable him to read them himself with good clear text and easy words and nice illustrations. My son is 6 years old but is at a low reading level so could be used for younger children.

Great gift
This was bought for my 4 year old son on his birthday and he loves them so simple and quick to read at bed time. Yes they are short if an adult is reading but perfect for a child to sustain interest. There will be tricky words in there but a lot of common words to. My 5 year year old daughter is not a fond reader and is enjoying reading them to her brother. I would highly recommend you buy these!!

Nice mix
Nice mix of characters 6 books in total.I’d say it is more level 2 than level one with some of the words used but lovely homeschooling resources.Bright , clear and engaging books that hold my 5 year olds interest with ease .

Brought as a Birthday gift
Bought it for my nephew for his birthday as he is a Marvels fan and is in reception. Thought it would be good for his reading, I had a brief look, looked good for his age group. Think I'll get another for my other nephew for his Christmas gift
