Execllent value for the money. Keep it within it limits and you'll be fine!
I'm fairly Impressed with this little press. The design is fairly simple. At the $159 price point the shipping to Hawaii had to cost more then the $159. Thank you Amazon! This isn't a heavy duty press by any stretch of the imagination. That being sad for a home use press it, it fits the bill perfectly!I have a few projects to replace front wheel bearing on my Accord and my 4runner. I have bearing pullers which can do the job. This is the set I currently own: ( OTC 6575 Hub Grappler Kit for on Vehicle Wheel Hub and Bearing Removal)But I wanted a press to make the process easier. (I have access to an industrial press at work but this makes a great home unit)To the other review that claimed the rod does not align? I would say that at first when I put everything together I was thinking the same thing. But after fiddling with it for a few minutes. I figured out that the bottle jack needs to be sitting in the right position for the press rod to line up with the guide perfectly! If you skip this step you may end up bending the rod or causing damage to the part you're trying to press.Remember you are dealing with a lot of force! The better you can set the press up to have a straight press the better it will work! The hardness of the steel rod leave a bit to be desired. But you get what you pay for! It's definitely NOT hardened steel! It's a basic iron rod.So keep that in mind, and apply pressure accordingly. If you observe the rod staarting to mushroom or bend stop applying pressure. The bottle jack can definitely apply more pressure then the material can handle. So use common sense! This is NOT an inustrial strenght press! If that's what you're expecting then you're in for HUGE disappointment! But if all you need to do is press out a few bearings and races then this would have no problem doing that.Take you time and be safe!

Excellent value
Not sure why everyone is giving this negative reviews given the price of the machine. I have no experience with any type of press and was able to assemble this in less than 15 minutes. I use it to put pressure on dies to cut leather. It works just fine. Is it a little shaky? Yes. The instructions are not clear but anyone with a brain can put it together based on the picture. It's very simple and straight forward. Every other press I could find online was at least double the price. This is perfect for simple jobs. The paint does chip off (who cares). It's not the most sturdy (IT WAS ONLY $100). If this one ends up breaking, I will buy the exact same one and take my chances rather than spending $400 more on a nicer press. It will do what you want it to do

HORRIBLE AND DANGEROUS!!
First off: I'm a certified mechanic by trade. I know how to use samp presses properly as I use them regularly at work. I got his press for home use to work on my cars and stuff around the house once in a while instead if driving to the shop on wknds. With that said, This press is an absolute worthless piece of junk. Its the epitomy of Chinese junk. It couldn't even press in a simple bearing race without bending the pushrod permanently. A bearing race and bushings would be the lightest duty jobs for a shop press because you can do them by hand (which I ended up doing no problem). On top of that, I had frozen the race in the freezer to shrink it and left the hub in the sun to expand it to make it even easier to press because the press plates looked suspect to me. Ironically they were fine and the pushrod bent instead. Look at how long the rod is. Common sense will tell you to make it as short as possible to avoid bending it. I knew this before buying but this is the only press they would ship to hawaii so I took a chance and what do you know, first time unused it it bent under VERY light pressure. The press plates that come with it are a joke. Its cheesy 1/4” thick square plates. No notches or anything (press plates ahould be at least 1/2”-1" thick plates). I am going to attemp to see if amazon can do something about this worthless crap they sold me. I'm lucky I didn't get hurt.

Works as advertised
Item showed up on time, and in great condition. Assembly was simple, and worked exactly as it should have. Had no trouble pressing a pinion bearing on for a Dana 70 rear axle. The one thing I would suggest is 2 more nuts for the cross bar mating to lock the inside of the bars from tightening up against the frame for easier adjustment. Total assembly height is about 3 feet.

Cheaply priced, but quality matches.
Quality isn't the best but expected that for the low price. I used it for pressing out ball joints for my Honda CRV. First one I noticed Jack was leaking fluid through main cylinder seal. I ended up using my own bottle jack in place of leaking one to finish because of loss of pressure from seal leak. Frame is sturdy enough for small jobs but this won't be a press you can use for bigger jobs like for wheel bearing work by a long shot.

It's a cheap press... Basically, Bubba and Darryl had a great idea that they would steal the bottle jack from under the hood of their neighbor's pickup truck and use some scrap steel and their Daddy's welder and fabricate something to sell people. It works, but it is not a quality press. You get what you pay for. The holes in the bar where the round black pressing bar goes through the red support cross-bar weren't drilled in the same location. My press pushes down in a slightly diagonal direction with plenty of binding. Like I said, it works, but I wish I would have bought a different one.

Simple but works great!
This 6-ton press came in pretty fast, considering free shipping as far as to hawaii. Assembly was fast and easy. A 19mn socket and wrench did it for me in just a few minutes. In less than 30 minutes of its arrival, i pressed out my first control arm bushing. How is that for a cheap press? The amount that it cost me has paid it self up in less than 30 mins of use. The dealer of my car sells only the entire control arm, which is more than the price of this small 6-ton press. By the time that i finished replacing all the bushings, the amount that i saved is tremendous. What i like the most about this press? - its small, affordable, strong, and really works. Dislikes- nothing, except that now im searcing around for things that i could press out.Update: twelve rear suspension bushings out and in with new ones. Easy!
