No need to pay more these latches do not last, so why pay more.
Good value for money and do the job. My only issue was with the strike plate. These are narrower than most so as a replacement not ideal, but if you can keep the existing, not an issue.

Is not a 3" latch as we know it
Apart for the the Face plate being a bit proud and bent, this turned out to be 2 1/4 inch latch so no use for the intended door. It's now in the spares box as I'd already thrown the packaging away before I realised :-(. Now I've spotted the dimensions drawing they've specified it by the total length of the latch, not the face plate to the spindle axis as is the norm. Mmmmm Ah well should have spotted that first.

The good, the bad and, sometimes, the uglyThis review is based on my personal opinions gleaned as a result of decades of experiences in a professional occupation, using firearms for close to fifty years, outdoor pursuits, DIY, as a consumer, a property owner and raising a family.This tubular latch is sold off £2.99 as a prime item through Amazon (January 2018)Prime items come with a promise of next day delivery to Amazon prime membersYou cannot rely on the next day delivery promise.There is no indication as to any potential additional postage charges for non prime members.The latch is a good budget example and will do all that is required to be done.I bought this as a replacement for a “dead” latch. Replacement was very quick and easy. Simply remove two screws push the latch in, correct way around for the door closure.There is no doubt that it is a budget, unbranded item. There are no markings and the metal assembly is rough and ready.All that said, this is very good for the cost and will do all required of it.
