So many colors!!
So much better than a plain light bulb. I like that it has so many different settings & colors. It makes me feel like I'm somewhere mysterious, while still being in the comfort of my own home. Who knew I needed a sunset lamp in my life!

Sturdy base. Adequate brightness. Needs a remote.
I chose this light because, unlike many others, it has a sturdy, metal base. The lamp head is adjustable to just about any angle, so I can project to the wall, ceiling, or a combo. This is the first "sunset lamp" I've tried, so I can't say how it compares on brightness level. I can say that it is good for my purpose in a small corner. Now what I don't like:1. Some of the colors are a little off. I can't get a cyan/light blue color. Most other colors come out great, but there's just something about trying to get blue on mine that doesn't quite work as well as I'd like. When I try the straight cyan setting, it's purple in the middle and green on the edge. Not what I want at all. I end up using a dark blue/violet instead, but it's just a little annoying. Actual "sunset" colors seem to work just fine as I can get a good range of yellow/orange/reds.2. My major complaint is that it does not come with a remote control. You have to use an app to do anything with it besides turn it on and off. The app is easy to use, but it has all the typical scary permissions requests that makes you wonder if it is worth giving up potential data to an unknown company for the sake of a colored lamp. I did it anyway because pretty much any of these lights has this same issue. This would easily be made better with the inclusion of a basic remote. I have many other devices that use an app for the fancy colors, but still allow you to make basic color selections via a remote. That way, you can choose NOT to grant permissions and/or have a way to use the light when you don't have your phone handy. They do include a little card promising you a free remote if you scan a QR code. It seems to want to put you on their text/email list and no real info on how to get the remote. I wouldn't count on that and I find it very off-putting when products have this kind of thing. When I ordered, I knew that I would need to use the app and that it doesn't include a remote, but the runaround for getting a "free" thing they should have just included anyway feels kind of shady. I'd rather they just up the price by a dollar and include the remote or not bother to mention that you could have one at all.Once you do have a setting you like on the light, there is an on/off switch on the cord and it will power up to the last setting.Despite my annoyance with the cyan and with the lack of a remote, I'm giving it a 4 star because it does do what I wanted it to do and I love that it has a very stable base.

it's solid and weighted, that means a lot with sunset lamps
I love sunset lamps but they are all far from the same. It's almost a gamble if you'll get a light weight one with thin plastic for legs or stand. Some even have plastic for the lens. So I choose carefully. The sunset lamp by nature is top heavy and most the time you're aiming on the higher side. Too high falls over. or if the cord gets nudged it slides.Happy to report that this model does none of that and checks all the boxes. Glass lends, sturdy pole and weighted stand. It's mid level in brightness, which is ok for most. Some are way too intense and the low end ones aren't worth the table space. It's serving it's purpose well and recommended for a splash of cool color on the walls.

Tik tok light but very laggy
So it works an you can connect it to your phone. Why i give it 4 stars is beacuse of the lag in the app as you switch it to another color or a faded amount of colors an it take forever to recognize its changing colors. But it turns on an the button power switch works fine. Does not come with a controller

Great for photos. Will I get my remote?
This little lamp is great at mimicking the sun for certain indoor photos. A remote control would be nice and is supposedly on the way. There was a card saying to scan a barcode to get a free remote. That prompted messaging with the mfg. A pleasant person took my address and email. Now I hope I get the remote. But still quite useable for this purpose even without the remote sine there’s also a free app. I could also see some using it for meditation therapy. Not my thing but to each their own. It’s a unique light source that has light ‘fringing’ at the edges of its output. Not sure what I mean? Look at the main product photo closely. The one with the orange ‘sun’ in front of the light. Look at the edges. That’s what I mean. By design, the lamp is not focusing the red, green and blue beams of light so strange things happen that can also be fun to experiment with.

Simple sunset lamp for my room!
Perfect little lamp that comes with info to download the remote on your phone. You just plug it in, connect it to the app, and it's ready to go. You can change it to almost any color scheme, including normal daylight colors, and you can adjust the brightness too. The head also swivels up and down so that you can point it to wherever you want. Simple and customizable!

Vibrant colors
The lamp is metal and feels durable. The design is simple and sleek, and the light colors are bright and vibrant. I couldn't find a way to change the lights colors other than the Lotus Lantern app. Overall, the quality is great, and the sunset colors add a nice ambience.
