This was what I was looking but the adhesive is not very good. I was trying get this for attaching fabric to metal. Sticks well to the metal but came off the fabric a day after it was applied.

Because Amazon suggested this item to purchase along with eufy robovac vacuum, I did buy it. It doesn't stop eufy robovac vacuum cleaner. It ran over this piece of garbage strip like it was not there. It's too weak, the magnetic part is barely in it.

If there had been a 2-1/2 option, I would have given it the extra half star. The magnet on the tape works just fine, but the adhesive is less than impressive. I'm using the tape on the back of a lightweight chalkboard that's attached to the side of my fridge. (This is for jotting down grocery list items.) The chalkboard is lightweight and measures 8-1/2 x 11 inches. Despite its not being heavy, I put one strip across the top and one strip across the bottom. It fell off the strips. The strips remained attached to the fridge, so the magnet part was doing its job, but not the adhesive. I reattached the chalkboard and leaned all of my weight against the chalkboard and pushed it against the fridge. And I stood there pushing on it for a couple of minutes. About an hour later, I went back into the kitchen and the chalkboard was on the floor again. I repeated what I'd done before, and it has been okay for the past few hours. But if that thing is on the floor again tomorrow morning, I guess I'm going to need to pull out my hot glue gun, which is ridiculous when two strips of tape should easily hold onto lightweight layered cardboard, or whatever the thing is made of.Update: Soon after I posted this review, I was forced to glue the magnetic strip to the back of my lightweight chalkboard. Since then, my chalkboard hasn't fallen off the magnetic strips. So again, the magnetic part works just fine, but the adhesive used on these strips might as well be toothpaste, because it doesn't hold. Not even for five minutes!

I wanted to hang a small calendar on the front of my fridge, but the front is not metal, only the sides are. The adhesive worked fine but the magnetic side is too weak. It wouldn't grab the magnetic strip that the calendar is attached to, there was only a very light hold. The calendar holds firm on the side of the fridge.

I bought an erasable calendar which only came with command strips and I wanted to attach it to my fridge so I found these. At first they work well but the adhesive keeps coming off the calendar. Sometimes it wakes me up in the middle of the night.

Would be good for hanging a piece of paper on a fridge and that’s about it
