I used it to hang my handbag up in the hall so that it stays nice and away from the pets and it’s a good quality hook and stayed on my painted wall. Very nice looking and decent quality and big enough for my handbag strap

Easy to use

I bought 2 of these. One to go in the bathroom to hang a guest towel near the basin and one to go on the back of a bedroom door to hang a dressing gown. My main reason for buying them was I didn't want drill holes in newly replaced doors or bathroom tiles. The hooks are attractive and tactile and will hold up to 3lbs in weight ( according to the packaging). I don't intend putting them to the test! The instructions of how to affix them are clear, with wording and diagrams and you get 2 fixative strips. Replacement strips are available to buy on amazon. The big advantage of these is if you don't like where you originally put them it is no hassle to remove them. The important thing is to make sure the intended surface is grease free (I used isopropyl alcohol to clean the area) and leave the base for an hour - I left it overnight - before re-attaching the hook. Excellent product.

Bought to replace a hook that I always overload with bags. This heavy duty one has worked well and I have various around my house which have coats and bags on.

Like other reviews state, the nub just does not last. I re did the tiles in my en-suite and thought I could be careful enough that it would be fine - nope. The nib just disintegrates no matter how careful you are. There was still product in the pen too which is annoying. Loses 2 stars as otherwise great.

Good quality that sticks well without having to drill a hole in the wall

3M Command hooks in general are great. They're easy to place: clean the wall area with rubbing alcohol, then peel & stick on the hook. No messy and damaging drywall drilling/anchoring needed. They're relatively easy to remove: slide up the main hook portion from mounting base, then slowly pull the non-stick tab downwards until entire adhesive stretches and comes off cleanly. However, out of the 15 3M hooks I've recently removed when moving, 1/3 of the adhesives ended up snapping prematurely, requiring needle-nose pliers to remove the rest of the adhesives (same downward pull). If you're not careful, the adhesive ends up ripping off the outer white layer of the drywall, exposing a dime-sized gray sublayer (annoying, but an easy fix with Dap 12372 CrackShot Spackling Paste 5.5-Ounce ). This particular model (Forever Classic Large) is the heftiest/sturdiest of all the 3M large hooks (actual metal, unlike other colored plastic models like 3M Command Timeless Large Plastic Hook with Metalic Brushed Nickel Finish ), and has the most useful hook shape (strong base, deep curve, no thin/sharp edges). If you're planning on using this in the bathroom or any moisture-prone area, be sure to also buy the blue 3M Command Large Water-Resistant Refill Strips, 4-Strip , which has a stronger adhesive. The regular included adhesive caused the hook to fall from the glass shower wall after a few days, but the "blue" strips have held fine for over a month now. In non-moist rooms, the regular adhesive hold up just fine. If you rent, definitely load up on these. Not only do they not cause wall damage (aside from possible spackling), you can easily take them WITH you when you move.

We have used many of the Command products in our homes and they have never failed us. This hook stays on strong and comes off clean when you need it to.

I am so glad I bought this,even though it is expensive.More than lives up to its description.
