The perfect piece of kit!
I have not used it yet but have attached it to my tiller and I can tell you it will do the job perfectly. The u-joint gives full control at any angle and it also grips and twists the handle tightly for throttle adjustment. Can extend to a silly length but is still very sturdy and has same control.

Tiller was purchased for a 3.8M Sib with a 15hp 2 stroke Mariner engine with gear change on tiller
The tiller extension has enabled me to sit on the front seat and operate the outboard. I have a 15 hp 2stroke mariner engine on a 3.8 Quicksilver sib. The thin inner rubber sleeve needs to be pulled out to make it fit my outboards tiller handle. it works well with 2 people sat up front or even better solo.Be careful with the steel sleeve that slips over the u joint to convert it back to a rigid tiller. On mine the spring got stuck inside which prevents the sleeve coming down over the U Joint. The sleeve slipped down at slow speed and I lost steering while sat at the front. I soon fixed this when I got home dismantled the 2 handles and popped the spring back in its hole.Much easier and more comfortable now to use my boat .

Doesn't work well with Bison trolling motor
It says it fits any outboard but it doesn't fit my Bison 55lb trolling motor well. The extension is well made and robust and, on an outboard that it fits, I think it would rate at least 4 stars.I needed something that would allow me to use the trolling motor without having to hold my arm at ear height and this does the trick but not without some compromises.I still use the extension because when actually out on the water it does what I want it to but it drives me to distraction having to be so blooming careful with it!The problem on my outboard is that the engine's handle is the wrong size for the unit. The extension has a solid plastic collar with a removable foam collar inside. These collars go over the engine's handle. With the foam collar, my engine's handle is too big to fit but without the foam collar, the extension slips when I accelerate so I have very poor control of the engine.I managed to get the extension on with the foam in place but it took a few minutes to force it in place and it would take some serious effort to remove it. The first annoyance is that this makes carrying the engine even harder as I have a heavy flapping thing dangling and waving around my face and body and moving in any direction it wants and I have no spare hand to control it. Storage is also more difficult and annoying. When on the boat, because the extension is so big and bulky, it adds an additional complication to moving in shallow water, for example, launching from a beach. The action of tilting the outboard in and out of the water requires 2 hands but without a third hand to hold the extension the tilting movement is enough to knock the extension which starts the propellor and, at best, sprays water in my face as I am leaning over the back. At worst... Or I have to remember to disconnect from the battery before making any adjustments. Either way it adds a delay and reduces the amount of control I have of the boat. Getting in or out of the boat is also enough to set the propellor spinning.I'm sure I'll adapt but right now it is driving me a little bit crazier than I would otherwise be!

Obviously a good quality product
Obviously a good quality product, however it is claimed suitable for outboards up to 15hp, but it does not fit my new DF6A (6hp) Suzuki 4 cycle outboard. I am faced with deciding whether to return it or carefully shave off a little rubber off the Suzuki tiller grip.

EXCELLENT
Quality extension used to steer Collingwood Wide Beam barge. The tiller and controls are too far apart for wide turns, but the extensions is sold and works well.
