Be prepared for a full day of assembly
I consider myself a handy and very capable person and this was single-handedly the worst thing I have ever put together. The instructions are absolutely awful and to NOT provide clear direction on how to properly put the 97 million pieces together. If I had a dollar for every time I had to completely redo the bed because of the lack of direction I could have purchased 10 of these beds. Don’t even get me started on the hardware either. Literal almost identical screws in the same bag but with no real differentiation between them or proper identification of them until you realize you’ve used the wrong length on another part 73 steps ago and the one you have left is just too short. It took me at least 6 hours to put together and one trip to the hardware store due to a hex screw getting locked.I am only giving this 3 stars because my 10 year old son loves his new bed. I am unsure how safe it actually is and the fact it took me so long to put together makes me want to leave 1 star. I honestly can’t say I recommend this bed. Oh and paired with the fact it took over two months to get this nightmare and I wouldn’t recommend a mattress higher than 8 inches either.

Love the Design
I'm a bit on the fence. I do love the design, but the instructions are abysmal and the hardware (and there is a ton) is all packaged together in zip top bags with no labelling or differentiation between screw and bolt sizes or types. The wood split a few times when putting in hardware. The instructions don't make it clear which way pieces should be attached and in one step it is clear and the next step shows that it should be attached the opposite way.The completed structure says "up to 400 lbs" but my normal sized 14 climbed up on the bed and it was pretty wobbly. The railing side on the stairs is the most precarious piece. It seems the most likely to break.I do love the design though. It has given my daughter so much more storage space and really decluttered her room. I gave it 4 stars because it's good right now. I hope that it lasts.

Hardware nightmare
All the screws etc that comes with it are NOT labeled. It came with screws mixed together in about 8 ziplock bags. The pictures in the directions do not match what the screws look like. So you are left guessing what screw to use for each step. It was a nightmare. The hinges that were already on were put on backwards. All the wood was labeled well. It took 7 hours to assemble. Our time would have been cut in half if the screws were labeled and the directions were more clear.

Good product
The final result was impressive and my son loves it, but the instructions needs to be QA’d because I ran into a few errors that created some setbacks and delays. The parts labeling was one of those errors, which caused redos, but thankfully only a half an hour delay. Overall, sturdy enough to hold the 240lbs limits.
