Small Bath Solutions (Better Homes and Gardens Home)

I have been perusing a number of bathroom remodeling books lately. Small bathrooms are very neglected. Almost everything I've seen is devoted to luxe, high-end baths for houses that have tons of space. This book really focuses in on small bathrooms. It provides numerous "case studies" of real homeowners' small bathrooms and what they did with them, many of them done on reasonable budgets. This book does not tell you how to install a floor or a tub, but it does provide many, many tips on small details that will enhance a bathroom and make it unique. I cut a lot of photos out of this book for my "wish" binder.Case in point: I just looked at two other bathroom books and couldn't find a single idea that I could use for my own small bathroom, or even my more mid-size bathroom.If you are looking for creative ideas for small baths, or any size bath, really, this is the book for you.

I consider most of the bathrooms featured in the book as large, and are bigger than the largest bathroom in my house. If you're looking for 40 to 60 square foot bathroom footprints, try another book. Otherwise, it does have some good ideas for someone not starting from scratch to squeeze another bath into existing space.

Nice little book that packs a lot of information into it.

Love the photos, budget info, and advice. I got lots of great ideas from this book and now feel much more confident about what I want and what the costs and options might be. Now I'm ready to talk to a contractor! Actually, I thought this book gives great information and ideas for anyone looking to remodel any bath, not just a small one, though there were some very useful ideas for dealing with a small bath.

I feel pretty gypped by this book and I blame the publishers / authors for the misleading title. Yes, there are pretty pictures but for the most part, this is not a how to or solutions book for those of us trying to deal with truly small bathrooms. The most creative thing they suggest is replacing a tub with a shower, which isn't exactly a fresh idea and, if you're limited in number of bathrooms, can hurt resale value of your home. The bathrooms shown are suburban bathrooms that average 9x9, which is bigger than both the bathrooms I'm trying to remodel. Additionally, not once do they explore the European style shower / wet room, which is a small bathroom solution that I'd like to read about and is sort of bizarre to skip over. If you can get this book cheap and aren't trying to remodel a truly small bathroom, this book might be fun to own. I wish I'd scanned it in the library first. I've found more inspiration just surfing the web.

this book had some good ideas for tile and also some creative shell ideas. I went conventional for my small bathroom but my friend used the shells on her wall and it was just beautiful and very creative, better than the one in the book but it sparked the idea. the book is better than most.

We are renovating two small bathrooms and were looking for ideas that might be suitable for our two tiny spaces. This title fit the bill. It includes plans, lots of photos, and an coupon that entitles you to a free subscription for Better Homes & Garden Magazine! This is about the only recent title we found that focuses on the small bathroom.

Pictures were way to close in. And this sounds weird but they were not detailed enough. It was just looking at other peoples bathrooms. And if you don't have a window in your bathroom, you are out of luck.

I was looking for more DIY low budget projects, but this book had only one small section about these types of projects.

il libro è ben fatto, le foto sono interessanti e danno molti spunti per dare un tocco in più al proprio bagno ... a mio avviso il titolo è fuorviante perché non c'è nessuna vera "soluzione", non è un manuale "how to", i bagni illustrati poi non sono così piccoli. lo consiglio come spunto se siete a corto di idee per un piccolo glamour al vostro bagno.
