The owners manual is hard to understand. there is no how to set up videos on this item , no 800 # to call , no support , save your money move on down the list

1. It works at 110V with NEMA 5-15P to 14-50R adapter, this is very good for road trips so you know you'll be able to charge anywhere even remote from charging infrastructure2. To set charging current unit has to be unplugged from the car! Otherwise menu is locked, which is good, but un-intuitive and I thought it was broken3. Build quality is decent4. Screen is very informative, you see Voltage, Temperature of the board and Power with two decimals after dot, like 1.43kW which is more precise than Tesla UI5. Works with Tesla Model 3 with adapterOverall I'm really happy to have powerful 240V power adapter that I can carry for road trips and run at 110V anywhere.

This product has issues with my 2020 Chevy Bolt Premier when the Bolt is set to scheduled charging and the ZenCar is set to immediate charging. 50% of the time the charger will fault with a Relay Error and will not charge. I have to unplug the charger to clear the error. I have the charger set at 30 amps with no delay on the charger.Pros:1. Charging cable is thin and pliable for a 40amp charger2. Charging cable is 25ft in length3. LCD screen is nice and readable with good info4. Can set amps for 8 to 40 in increments of 1.Cons:1. Charge shows ground fault unless I have ground fault protection disabled. It does this with all three NEMA 14-50 outlets at my house. The latest being installed in Dec 2022 and the oldest in Oct 2016.2. Scheduled charging on my 2020 Chevy Bolt Relay Error as described above3. Charge holder is too loose for charger body. I had to insert card board between the holder and the charger to tighten it up4. No carry bag with the charger even though it is advertised as portable

This is the best charger I could find. The only one out there that lets you freely adjust the charging current from 6-40 Amp. This is important because it gives you flexibility to charge from different sources, each with specific amperage limits. Also great if you emergency charge from a power generator. Let’s you change the setting to use a bonded or floating neural/ground.Not sure why some give a low review because “the manual is hard to understand.” Usage is self explanatory if too difficult, just watch a YouTube video if needed.

There were scuffs on the unit that made me suspicious about whether it was new when I got it. And it's been throwing error E00 on a daily basis. I unplug it, plug it back in and it works for a charge or two. Then errors out again. I should have returned it for a replacement to be sure that it was just my unit and not the company but I missed the return window so I will order something from a different vendor now rather than take the chance that Zencar is just no good.

It is exactly what I was looking for; store charge records (start/end datetime and kWh) and deliver up to 40amps power (adjustable). Also, have the possibility to manage earth and RDC safety features.
