Design ShellSet, Cherry Stain

Everything about this set screams Quality, and just unboxing them and putting the kit together was a joyful time.First off, they are GORGEOUS - the Cherry Stain finish is immaculate and just plain pretty. Happily, they also sound GREAT - lovely sustain on the toms, and the snare is nice and crisp with a good (but not too much) ring. The hardware is more than solid and inspires a lot of confidence.Even the Remo heads that came on the drums are good, which was a surprise as I'd always been under the impression that stock OEM heads were garbage.Overall I'm very, very pleased with this set, and I'm now a big DW fan.

These drums tune up beautifully, and the tone/timbre is excellent. Comes with Remo/DW heads, and even a DW bass drum pillow for muffling. Highest quality materials. I didn't realize that the two toms (10" and 12") don't mount on the bass drum, and tom clamps and such to fit on a cymbal stand are necessary. There's also a counterweight, sold separately for cymbal booms that gives reassurance of better balance. The 14" floor tom can be purchased separately, as this set has a 16" floor tom, and an 8" tom is available. Suggest O-rings to limit sustain of resonance. Amazing drums!
