It’s a set but the color of the hat (green) is not the color of the apron (teal). It shows it in the picture but I didn’t pay any attention to that.

I actually bought this to keep my clothes from getting wet when I wash dishes. I don't cook much, LOL! But it will work for both. I thought for sure that it was going to be cheap and I'd have to send it back but I was pleasantly surprised. It seems like something that will hold up for a while. It is a good material for water resistance, not waterproof, but it will keep the water off of you and if you are cooking and get something on it I would bet it would wipe right off. It comes with a chef's hat if you are into that sort of thing, LOL! JK, but they are both
