Jack hammering
As a carpenter who uses this for jackhammering, it holds up very well. The pockets work great to hold my pliers and the leather takes the beating. Easy to put on and staid on. Would recommend to carpenters or laborers looking for a cheaper pair of chaps to protect your legs and clothes!

Best of cheap chaps, do the job, i am protected but not thick for hot days
thin side, i guess that by price, needed skinny girl size, the legs are good, the top needs holes punched, buckle is real cheap but they do the job and arent too thick for hot muggy days yet i feel there is enough to keep a knife from going in my leg. 2 pockets is great!

Overall pretty good
The velcro onbthe legs runs the wrong direction so I end up looking like Im playing withmyself trying to get ready in front of clients, then the excess is between my thighs in a ball which is not comfortable if I have to walk and starts to undo it some. The knife pockets are too small. My deep belly wont even go into one half way.The buckle on the waist is cheap pot metal and looks cheap. If the velcro on the legs ran the other way where the end came to the lateral thigh, and the pockets held the knives, Id give it a 5 star for value. They are a good size for me, a 5'2" , 150 lbs woman.

Get what you pay for!
Used these for about a cycle.Love the price, super comfortable but the seams are coming apart on legs and leather is really thin.Maybe best for a light user, not a busy shoer.

Excellent for the amateur/hobby
I am not a professional farrier although I have some training and care for my own horses. These work very well for me and I find them durable (thus far) and comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone starting out.

Well Made
I'm not a farrier so I don't really do farrier things. But I am a woodworker, and it's nice to wear these rather than rip up my jeans when I'm working on things in the shop. The leather looks pretty good and soft and I almost don't want to scratch it up. It's pretty easy to put these on, with a velcro strap that goes behind your legs. The belt is also velcro and is pretty easy to secure. The cloth of the chaps is like a waxed canvas-type material so it looks pretty durable. It only has two pockets though, one on each leg, and I assume this is to hold your pick for the horse's hoof.
