Old El PasoOriginal Taco Seasoning Mix 10 Pack

The family likes the flavor of this mix the best. It isn't too spicy but not too mild so you get a good flavor to the meat. I use it with turkey meat so it needs to have enough to season and it makes it just about right with one packet. Makes a quick and easy meal with tortillas and toppings.

The supply chain shortages of the recent past have caused me think outside the box. Sometimes inside the box. There holes in the shelf for my usual's, but Old El Paso Taco shell being a staple. I instead reached for the "kit" with sauce and seasoning. Either I have taken a liking to this blend or the OEP makers have upper their game in their spice mix. This is a really great stand alone mix. But, to be honest, I have a half dozen or more old favorites that I like to mix together. When is use 3 to 6 pounds of meat I will 3 to 6 packages of different or mostly different brands. This OEP, McCormicks, Taco Bell and La Preferida are my core brands and I add whatever I found at the store. Or just double up on of the others.

Best of the best for taco stuff! This was basically $2 more than a two pack so a no brainer to buy 10 as this will not go unused.

I like the kick of this Taco seasoning, it brings a nice subtle punch to my TexMex recipes, that said these 10 packets should be used in less than 4 months. Had I known this I would never have ordered it. I mean I love TexMex but I’m going to have to make 2-3 recipes a month, don’t know if my family can handle that. Won’t be ordering again.

The quality and flavor of these packets are perfect! We found them on a good sale with a coupon which made them cheaper than buying individually packets in the store. It’s always great to get a good tasting product for cheaper than off brand in grocery stores. 10/10 highly recommend. You can’t go wrong with long lasting seasoning that stays fresh for months on end.
