Just what I needed. Good quality.

It works very well. I have used it so far to make chicken stock and to make thanksgiving gravy. I believe this to be a true chinois as it has a screen and it is not just metal with small holes. It works awesome. I put the stand into a 12-qt pot and put the chinois on the stand and poor directly from my pot into the chinois. You have to colander the large solids first but it works brilliantly. I thought I’d have more of a problem with the screen blinding but you can use the wood spatula to rub the screen and get the fluids to flow.

I paid 50 dollars for this, I was expecting something of at least good quality. I wasn't expecting All Clad level, but at that price it should be at least decent. This looks and feels like a 10 dollar item, literally. They are charging 50. The handle is completely thin and hollow (feels like tin or something) and is "riveted" to the strainer with what looks like a piece of foil. All around the strainer there are exposed and sloppy solder joints. Avoid this.
