Did the job
Built some DIY floating shelves and used this to drill 5inch 1/2" wide mounting holes in a solid piece of wood. Worked great

Topown dowel jig kit for floating shelves
This kit made it so much easier to drill holes needed to hang shelves for a job I was working on! I will definitely be using it again and again and it was well worth the money I spent on it!

This is not 1/2"
Ordered this to setup some floating shelves only to find none of my 1/2 drill bits will fit through this guide. Be weary of purchase as there does not seem to be any sort of quality testing before these go out the door.I've gone through at least 3-4 different drill bits and at this point, I'm regretting not spending the extra few bucks for a reputable brand.

Works as expected, you can find center every time
I really liked how easy it was to use this tool, I was able to find the center on multiple boards fast, and drill a straight hole into the wood. The issue with this tool is that it only works with 1/2 inch drill bits, it would be so much better if it was adjustable or interchangeable for other size bits. It is mid-range in price, but is a little higher than I would pay for a tool that only does one thing, no matter how good it was at doing that one thing. If you are working with larger pieces of wood for floating shelves, this is a worthwhile tool to have in your toolbox.

Finds the center, wish there were additional sized drill guides
This Jig is simple but very effective at finding the center of a board to drill a hole for a dowel (practical from ~3/4" to 2.5" thick). Compared to other jigs that are higher priced this one falls in the middle, but the quality is very good. It's made from thick, solid aluminum and has machined threads for the centering pins and for the 1/2 drill guide. I really wish they included additional drill guide collars that could be swapped out to fit smaller drill bits for a variety of dowel sizes and wood thickness - that would make this jig a home.
