This is the one.
Phenomenal audio quality. I’ve used other dongles in my car in the past, and the quality is always subpar. Not only does this pair right up soon as the car turns on, every note and baseline is flawless. It’s plugged right into my aftermarket head unit RCAs, included, and makes the system so much better. 10/10.

No connectivity issues at all. Great sounding DAC.
We tested this with a vintage NAD receiver and a Teac amp (RCA in) ) both paired with excellent speakers. Sounds really good, and no connectivity issues whatsoever with iPhone 16e, 16, older iPad, or a Galaxy S25 ultra. Cant comment on range but whoever complained about distortion needs to get out the CRC and spray their pots, it’s definitely not this unit. BTW that’s a pretty broad range of Bluetooth versions. The 16e is BT 5.8, iPhone 16 BT 5.3, S25 BT 5.4, and older iPad is BT 4.2. (FYI the latest iPhone 17 is now at BT 6).

Easy setup
Works great, only issue is there isn't a on/off switch so I bought a on/off wall socket switch... problem solved. Highly recommend.

easy hookup, instant pairing, good sound
Arrived today and I had it hooked up and BTing in 5 minutes, counting the minutes spent accessing the back of my amp (lots of moving stuff). The power cord was wa-y-y-y too short to reach an outlet, but I lucked out because the amp turned out to have a USB power-out socket. Who knew? Used the optical cable. Pairing was instant, like the 5-year-old Harman-Kardon BTA-10 BT receiver on my stereo receiver (50+ years old!) -- the HK is still working perfectly, still pairs instantly. If this BluDento performs equally, I'll consider it money well-spent. At some point I'll try a listening test between the two devices, but I seriously doubt I'll be able to hear anything significant enough to worry about. I wonder if there would be any sound quality difference between optical and RCA...again, probably not enough to worry about. I promise to update if I run into any problems -- BT can be quirky, like in my Bose earbuds when the BT just failed completely (and Bose replaced them) -- or if 5 years down the road it's still working well.

Exceeded Expectations-Superb
I decided to add Bluetooth capability to an older circa 2010 Denon AVR 2311Ci receiver to unlock music on my ipad and iphone devices. The AVR receiver has a wired USB port for ipad/iphone connectivity on the front but this is cumbersome for a two zone system. I'm using Zone2 and the pre-out connected into another separate amplifier to power two remote stereo speakers. In looking around at the various options from low-end to more expensive, I decided to go with this unit as it had two digital outputs (TOSLINK optical and SPDIF coax )which I could assign to a digital input on the AVR using its internal DAC. One of the interesting features was the TI/Burr-Brown DAC for use with the L/R RCA analog output. The spec'ed output level of the analog signals seemed good. I wasn't too worried about volume differences since my Zone 2 has it's own volume setting which I could leave cranked up as necessary, without being jolted when switching back to Zone 1 for normal A/V operation. I also have the option of boosting input levels via the receiver settings. I hooked the unit up using the L/R RCA with the supplied cables and I consider the sound to be quite for a $40 unit. The internal DAC in the unit is likely better than one in the AVR input. Bluetooth reception is good. The Bluetooth receiver is in the basement in a recessed(in foundation/concrete) entertainment and control of the unit via my iPhone is usable out to 30+ft. Bluetooth pairing is excellent-no issues. I would recommend.

It works, but the audio is substandard.
Connecting it to your devise is very easy and it does work well when you use it. I had high hopes for this Bluetooth receiver, but I was very disappointed in the audio processing. The sound from both analog and optical ports is sub par and the input is poor. It also is introducing noise and distortion. As someone who actually cares about sound quality this is a deal breaker. In conclusion, if you just want something that connects to your phone easily and you don’t care too much about how it sounds it’s perfect. If you are looking for a cheaper solution, but still expect it to have good sound quality you will want to search elsewhere. Three stars because I think the average user will like it. For any audio enthusiasts or someone with a nice setup where audio clarity is important 2 stars.
