KONA Electric Kettle (1.2L) Cordless, Best BPA Free Glass Water Kettle, Black

The trouble with reviews is that we are prompted to write them right after purchase. So many things are marvelous at first, but like my husband's pajama bottoms that shrink every wash until they're wide "high waters" and then too late to return. Thus I hesitate to write how currently HAPPY I am with this KONA, but, hey, so far it's GREAT. Clear, glass, not heating too much water at a time, removable from base, doesn't use much valuable counter space, a quick, simple click of dimly-lighted switch to turn on and then it turns itself off (no more burned tea kettles and pans while I'm off doing something else). The company has sent a few tips and seems responsible, so I feel assured that, if in a year the kettle shrinks in its marvelousness, I could probably let them know and have some satisfaction.

I like the kettle. It works well but its cord is very short. If it were sitting on the counter the cord would probably be fine since the outlet would be higher. I bought this to use at work and the outlets are on the floor. I can't sit the kettle on my desk and plug it in so I have to use it in the kitchen which really defeats the purpose. Either that or the kettle has to sit on the floor which is not something I want to do.

This kettle lasted me a year. Works very slow. You can't tell when it is on since the power light is hardly visible. Because of that easy to leave on by mistake and it gets hot. Looks nice, performs poorly.

love the clean look of the kettle. it boils quickly. the best feature though is the wide opening, so that the mineral deposits can be cleaned much easier than other kettles that have a narrow opening, and a tall carafe so that you can't even get your hand in properly. you do have to avoid letting the unused water sit there.

The kettle lasted exactly 2 years and 10 months before the temperature control switch broke.On the plus side, it failed safe, so that it turns off long before it boils instead of long after.But three years is an inadequate life span, before something goes into a land fill somewhere.

Love it. Petite, beautiful, works! Great for the office.Edit: the bottom is covered in dark spots after third water boiling. Returning. Disadvantage of most glass kettles.Edit: did not return, I have it for a few months now and can say that if you're using clean water, not faucet water, you'll have no stains. I currently have no stains anymore. I do dry the kettle from time to time completely.

Looks nice, works well. Had it for about 10 days and the glass cracked. Not sure if it was a defective item or poor design. Either way, I think I’ll go with a stainless steel kettle in the future just to be safe

Did my homework on several of these guys. Some have a few bad things to say, but I've been using this guy for a few months now and I love it. No rust, no smell, easy to use, shuts off when done and it boils water super fast. Would buy my mother this thing so I'd definitely recommend.
