Lamaze Captain Calamari Spin & Explore Gym

Have seen many of these products online but liked this one because of the colours and activities. Bought for 6 week old baby girl and whilst she only goes on it for a short period of time each day, seems to have strengthened her neck. At first she wasn't so keen and cried/moaned a little as she was not used to being on her belly, two weeks later and she doesn't cry and enjoys the activities. Not sure if she has started to stretch for the activities or whether it is by accident that she grabs them but which ever way, she is enjoying them. The mirror is clear and moveable, there is also a peek a boo rattle and other good activities. Not a very big play gym and probably will be out of it by six months but is doing the job now. Not expensive either when you look at the price of others. Would recommend and if I was looking to buy a rotating baby gym, would definitely buy this one.

We ordered this for our (then) we week old son as we felt he needed a new activity to do that would help bring on his development. The mat and play bar is vibrant in colour and he took to it right away. The three hanging toys are great (a baby mirror with taggies on the perimeter, crinkly Freddie firefly and two teethers) and they really hold his interest. The mat itself is soft to the touch and easy to wipe clean and just ever so slightly padded though not much. Our son is now 16 weeks old and he still loves playing on this numerous times a day. It's great for tummy time to with the hanging toys unclupped from the bar and later out in front of him :) Size wise it's ideal. Not too big and bulky and easy to slide under the sofa or behind it when not in use.

This is a nice tummy time toy although my baby will only tolerate it for around 10 minutes now at 4 months. She was too small for it when I got it at 3 months old (keeping in my she is a very large baby as well, in the 95th centile for weight). She wasn't long enough at that age to touch legs and arms to the floor at the same time and still struggles with it a bit. She does enjoy it much more now that she can hold her head up more. It is very colourful and the different things on the mat keep her entertained.

My daughter absolutely loves this book/mat. The black and white side really caught her attention at 2 months old. Now she’s starting to see colours it’s helping with that progression and the mirror catches her attention too.

I bought this as our daughter loved her tummy time but at a few months old wasn't strong enough to lift her head for long and kept face planting. She was so frustrated and I didn't want her to stop enjoying tummy time. This was great and really strengthened her back. She couldn't turn it it for a while but that was okay just playing with the scrunchy leaves was enough. Now she can turn the table it has a whole different appeal and the mat is great on its own - she can roll over and find fun things to do. For a Mum it is practical as lightweight, packes down small, washes and most importantly dries really easily.

Easy to assemble, bright and colourful and does hold my baby’s attention. Two little issues, my baby is on the long side so I find the mat a little short, I think he’ll be too long for it soon. Also the material of the mat is quite slippery so when I give my baby tummy time his feet slip and he can’t get traction. Other than that, I do like this play centre.

I gave this 5 stars because I love it. I bought this for my Grandson because it had been recommended to my daughter by a baby group that had one for the mothers to try out. After my Grandson had tried it in the group, my daughter said that he loved it. Fantastic for tummy time! It arrived in next to no time and it looked interesting. My Grandson, 4 months old was completely in his element. He was pulling himself around touching all the different things. It looked like hard work and can only stay on it for a short time. But the time he does spend on it greatly improves head and neck strength. Lovely product, very colourful and baby friendly. I would recommend.

I love the vivid colours on the mat and I think the toy it's a lovely idea. I have ordered two boxes. One for my daughter and one for my friend who is due in few days time. Unfortunately I did not open the boxes until today (3 months later) as I wanted my little one to have a go on it today. How big was my disappointment when I realised that the mat is missing from one of the boxes! Unfortunately it's too late to contact the seller and complain :( This will teach me a lesson to check items thoroughly immediately after they arrive :( I was really lucky that I opened the incomplete box, otherwise I'd send it unchecked as a present! Be warned and always check yours.

Little one loves this. Good quality and keeps her busy

Meine Tochter fand leider ihren Holzbogen mit der Zeit langweilig. Diesen Bogen liebt sie total. Wir hängen abwechselnd auch andere Spielsachen dran. Der Schmetterling ist ihr absoluter Favorit. Auch der Spiegel faszinierte sie sehr, als sie noch etwas kleiner war. Wir nehmen den Spielebogen stammt Matte auch immer mit, wenn wir zubesuch irgendwo sind. Er ist sehr leicht verstaubar.

My 2.5 year old son absolutely LOVES this toy. He's long been a fan of the water table and I was hoping to capture that same fun inside and without the mess. The Airtivity Table is the perfect height and he can easily turn on the toy and music all by himself. The spinning starfish mesmerizes him, while the challenge of trying his hand at baby "air hockey" by using the fish's tail to move the floating sea creatures keeps him intrigued while helping to develop his fine motor skills. The music is peppy and playful and my little one often just turns the toy on to have the happy tune as background music in the playroom. I highly recommend this toy!

Solid quality from packaging and varied colors, should be a joy for infant.
