The Roald Dahl Centenary Boxed Set

Lovely set of books we bought for the grandson, excellent to read to him but they will be better in a few years time when he can read them himself.

Was to be given as a gift, the box arrived dented and torn unfortunately

These are before the misguided publisher defaced Dahl's work by modifying his stories and removing things they found offensive. Nothing could more completely disrespect both the author and the public than failed writers altering and defacing literary achievements they never could have produced themselves.

A complete disappointment. Hard cover yes, but medium size and awful quality of paper. Not what I expected for that price.

I have always loved Roald Dahl’s books and The Witches was the book that started my love affair of reading.I have many copies of these books but not all in the hardback format. This collection features the best of Roalds books and they are just stunning.I absolutely loved this collection and highly recommend anyone considering buying this.

I bought this because it was cheaper than buying less amount of hard backs separately and then I got more books out of the deal so bonus. The price actually came out to being cheaper than buying a paperback of each book either, so it was a no-brainer. Beautiful dust jackets to protect the hardbacks, and a great collector's item if you are like me and collecting books from your childhood and will stand up to time so I can give them to my children when they move on to chapter books.
