Can this collar work automatically or must you use the remote to trigger it?

You must use the remote. This unit is designed as a training tool to work with your dog. I give my dog a command and then a beep warning if he doesn’t follow right away. I follow up with vibration if he hasn’t followed the direction. So far I haven’t had to use the shock feature at all.

Question 2

The caps for the contacts keep falling off. Where can I get replacement caps?

The ruber caps are to keep the shock off make sure it is installed crectley there is a nut type conection and the cap gose over the Nut.  make sure you look at the manul and its installed the wright way.  you could use glue just make sure if for ruber.

Where to buy a second collar to work with this transmitter?

We found an additional collar available through a seller on Amazon.com.  Just make sure you search for the same brand and you will find your options.  You can only have 2 collars working with the same remote, individually.  You don't get the option to send a signal to both collars at the same time.  Hope this helps.

Is this used nor no bark collar?

I guess you could. I can’t believe how fast it works, I have a year old 4 lb yorkie and while taking her out to potty, she got out of her harness and ran across a busy country highway. I thankfully got her and ordered this collar for her. I took her out to potty with this on her. She attempted to run and I accidentally use the shock on her. She jumped 2 feet in the air. I meant to hit vibrate. Needless to say when she acting up I point my I phone at her and she instantly obeys me. My grandson swears by this to stop bad habits in dogs.
