Does this machine have arrhythmic heartbeat detection. If so, does this prevent accurate blood pressure readings. Can the detector be switched off

no rhythmic heartbeat detection it just tells you your pulse rate

I don't know exactly but it seems pretty big to me and would fit almost anyone. There is quite a large velcro area which is obviously used to tighten or slacken as necessary and gives a wide range of fit. i am very pleased with it.
