Wiring kit that’s included is super easy, instructions are clear. Used it in my Jim Root inspired build and it’s great. Not as gritty as the active versions but spot on for high gain passive that can be crystal clear too

Great sounding pup

While it looks the part and was delivered on time. The rest unfortunately is severely lacking!Installed this and the H4A into my guitar only to find that there is an issue with them that I can't solve. They crackle and buzz loudly when touched despite everything being connected correctly and grounded. I even tried to contact EMG themselves for help in solving this issue and had no repsonse from them. Extremely disappointed and expected much better of a company known worldwide and who's products I have used before without problems.Ordered too long ago to get a refund or replacement (due to the guitar project taking longer than originally planned) hence why I only became aware of the problem recently. Ended up having to spend more money on a different set of pickups all together.The other problem is that the solderless setup these have should make it easier. It actually makes it more complicated as I noticed the diagrams aren't always accurate, plus there ends up being so much more cabling the space gets extremely cramped!
