Don't waste your money! Had an adjustment issue with the bumper, is the only reason I looked at this. Only used on a light weight snow blade for my ATV. Used only once! And this is how it looks!

The hook is sturdy, no problems with that. The pulley, has a few issues.1} it is a cast zinc pulley. The description as 'zinc coated stainless steel pulley'. Is borderline ridiculous. Definitely not stainless steel. And who would coat ( galvanize ) stainless steel?2) the bushing is sloppy in the pulley, and also on the bolt.3) the pulley bushing is steel.I don't understand why they use this zinc pulley, they have a decent steel pulley' in their 2 ton snatch block.

For the purpose purchased this works fine. Only lifting about 300 lbs, the Cab for my Truck Bed. Well made with solid parts for this purpose. Wouldn't use any where close to the rated capacity though.

I'm using this pulley to carry buckets of material along a zipline. The buckets weigh 50lb or less, however this snatch block, which is rated for nearly 100x that load binds up under the load. The block is easy to diassassemble so I will be first attempting to grease the plain bearing. If that doesn't work I will look into replacing the sheave with one which has a roller bearing or something else.The block itself is great value. I wish the manufacturer offered one with a better sheave/bearing for $10-15 more so I didn't have to rig one myself.

Nice and compact, used for only a few hundred pounds so should be sturdy enough. Rated at 4,500 lbs.

Works as it's supposed to.
