LD Compatible Laser Drum Unit Replacement for Brother DR630

Worked perfectly as a direct replacement for my Brothers DR 630 drum. Price was excellent and quality seems comparable to original. I have also used LD laser cartridge ( print) with excellent results

I was unaware there a limited use setting for this item, (a time item?)That being said, simple instructions to install and reset. Less than30 minutes up and running.

I bought this drum unit through Amazon on 6/6/18 and it has worked flawlessly until a few days ago. Now it is making a loud banging/clicking noise when I try to print anything (but, it still prints). I have two of the same Brother fax machines (MFC-L2707DW) and I swapped the cartridges from one machine to the other to verify that it was indeed the drum/toner that was indeed causing the issue. From doing a Google search, I was able to take the steps to identify that this is a drum issue and not a toner issue. I had hoped to get more life out of the drum, but in lieu of the fact that we do a lot of printing and replace the toner cartridges every few months, I think it’s fair to say that I got my money’s worth. One point I would make to people is that after you replace the drum, you have to go into the settings on the fax machine and reset the drum. The machine doesn’t actually have sensors to recognize when the drum is bad, it simply counts the number of pages printed between new drum installations and then says, “OK…that’s a lot of pages…it’s time to replace the drum now.” Simply slapping a new drum into the machine WILL NOT reset this counter; you have to go into the settings and reset it. So…if the machine is saying the drum is bad and you replace it, it is still going to say the drum is bad until you actually go into settings and reset the drum.

It did not work. I really needed it so I decided to try to tape it in such a way that the bent place would not be a problem. I could get it to work but only for a few copies. Every few copies it stopped and told me to move the green tab. After Idid that it would work for a few copies and then stop again. It has completely stopped now and sends a message to change the drum. I used it for 3 days. Never again.

I originally reviewed this and said my Brother L2360DW printer was *still* telling me to replace the drum kit, but it turns out I had to push a button to get the printer to say "ready" again. So, now it works great. And I feel like a doofus.
