Perfect player for exercising
I hate carrying my phone when I exercise and this is about the perfect solution. The player is super small and light with good battery life and great sound. With my Shokz headphones it is plenty loud enough but I did put the setting on high gain. The interface is not super user friendly but it works fine. I tend to put the player on random and not worry about it but you can make playlists. The instructions are terrible, but the player is pretty intuitive. It took me a bit to figure out that the back button is what brings up your menus. You would not get that reading the manual. Compared to the price for one of the high end players this is about the perfect solution for someone looking for great portability and great sound.

This is the most durable and well made player i have ever owned. Bought another one for my truck.
The thing I really like about this player is the sound quality is excellent and the build is all metal even the clip. One of my Pit bulls got a hold of the first one I have and tried to chew on it ; put a crack on the front glass but it still reads and plays the same.

Great design, abysmal battery life
I had high hopes for this little player, and most were fulfilled. Easy set up, Bluetooth pairing and a user friendly design. The battery life is its downfall. With a full charge it may last 4 hours on a good day, but 3 is more likely. I use it at work and so having to charge it once, and probably twice, in a shift just isn't practical. It may last longer with wired headphones, but that isn't realistic these days. The search continues.

Excellent for my purposes (running) - updated.
update 6/2024 Initial review as below. I've had this for about a year. It still works flawlessly BUT, the main problem I've found is that you absolutely CANNOT read the screen in bright sunlight. This obviously makes it hard to quickly shuffle through and change playlists on the go. Otherwise, it's all good and as below.I wanted something to wear while running. I was hesitant about this simply because I thought it might be heavy clipped on running shorts though it's no more noticeable that all my previous players. It's interface is simple and easy to navigate though. The settings are intuitive. The sound quality is excellent. I have a pair of Aeropex earphones and all the players I've used them with made the sound dull; with the equalizer function, the sound is much clearer. I have about 600 songs loaded on the included 16gb card and I'm only at a quarter full. Initial impression is very good. 3 stars for battery life only in that I haven't had it long enough to run it down. Will update this if I change my mind on anything.UPDATE:Battery life is excellent. I had this thing playing for a good 6 hours straight and I still had power to spare. So for me, battery life is sufficient. I've taken it on several runs so far. No connection issues or drop outs. The clip is sturdy and it stays put. The clip, by the way, is plastic and with time may wear out as it has ridges that fit into grooves on the corners of the player. I suppose with time, the ridges may wear...only time will tell. I would fully recommend. It's more expensive than a lot of others, but I wanted quality and this device, so far, hasn't disappointed.

Best for running
I'm old school - I don't use my phone for music. I don't want calls/texts incoming while I'm exercising.I leave the phone behind when I go to the gym or on a run. There's not a lot of bells and whistles on this player, which is perfect for me.Drag & drop mp3 files from the computer to the player w/ USB cord.Bluetooth works well. Sport clip works great. Doesn't move around/fall.2 things.1- On the menu there's a music icon and a file icon. The music icon has some weird auto-sort thing with the mp3 files and it's hard for me to find specific songs. If I go to the folder icon all the songs are there in alphabetical order like they would be on the computer.2- The volume seemed quiet. I disconnected bluetooth, put the volume on the player all the way to zero and then reconnected bluetooth. Having the volume at zero before connecting bluetooth seemed to help make the volume louder when I turned it up.I used this player with anker and skull candy bluetooth earbuds.I've found that players like this with the metal body, DSD, lossless etc are a much, MUCH, MUCH higher quality in every way than a plastic mp3 player. I'll never go back. I hope they keep making players like this for a long time. They are hard to find. To me, it's worth the money and exactly what I need.

Tries but fails
I really tried to like this mp3 player , but I found that I had to change my review and reduce my rating. The controls are small and confusing . The screen impossible to see in direct sun. When played, there was a very distinct hum. Very frustrating!
