16-inch and larger globes can get expensive fast. For the money, this Replogle globe is excellent and hard to beat. The globe is quite detailed and majorly updated from my 43 year old, 12-inch globe. It is light and easy to move. It adds to the decor of the Great Area.

this item was a gift and now that it has been received by the birthday boy i can state that it was perfect from both our perspectives. Item was received several days earlier than expected and in great shape and is now being used almost daily as a study aide. thanks again

Exactly what I wanted for my space. The only thing I would change is to make the screws attaching the pedestal to the base and to the globe a bit longer, so the attachment would be stronger. No indication yet that it’s not secure, but I’m a bit nervous.

The Russian River Sisters, an off-shoot of the famous Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, has taken over, as one of the order's responsibilities, the raising of funds/equipment for classroom supplies in rural, Western Sonoma County, California, where teachers were forced to buy classroom supplies out of their somewhat meager salaries. As a Saint in the order, I felt I needed to gift the classroom with the best free-standing globe I could find, and this globe, through Amazon, fit the bill nicely. The students cheered as Sister Sparkle Plenty, the Nun Too Bright, brought it into their classroom.

Finally, finally got this for my eight year old grandson. I'd ordered this 16" globe on a stand twice before only to be informed that it was no longer in stock or the price was greatly increased. Good quality for the price.

Beautiful and useful! We got this for our granddaughters to know the world. Our daughter uses it with them all the time.

I bought this globe recently for my nephews. I chose Replogle in large part for the reputation of quality and craftsmanship. Unfortunately, as soon as I put together the globe the anchor in the base into which the globe screws began to come loose. Very quickly it stripped from the wood in the base and came out altogether. I've attached some pictures showing what happened. I emailed Replogle to see if they could send me a replacement base and never heard back. So much for their reputation for great service...I like the globe itself, but this piece falling apart immediately is disappointing and renders the globe basically useless.

This is a superb globe. Am very happy with it.It is common with globes that cost under £10,000, for the seams not to line up well. This one is not perfect, but it is pretty darn good.

We can’t stop looking at this wonderful thing!I bought it for my mum for her birthday, and it has turned into quite a focus point in the room.- you will learn so much!
