Fair commodity
Appears to be working, but more fluid in the little stick would improve

Works very well but too fragile - wasteful
The "pen" only consists of a 5mm nib of solid silver nitrate. You then "dissolve" some of this in a single drop of water in a tiny cup or glass.Whilst this works very well on warts (it can sting a bit, although I never noticed) the nib of this pen breaks after about the 3rd or 4th use, regardless of how careful and gently you apply the solution. After my 3rd pen, I've now switched to buying silver nitrate by the 5g (same price, or cheaper, than this pen and about 10x as much) and dissolving a little in a 5mg eye-dropper (available right here on Amazon).Anyway, to use this pen to its best advantage, always keep it 100% vertical and never put even the slightest (sideways) pressure on that nib. Believe me, it will break. And dab it dry after use, but gently!Warning! As the instructions state, it will stain just about everything black, but this is only evident after a while (an hour or more). My hands looked horrific at one stage. Luckily it wears off pretty quickly but the best approach is not to get it on you, and to wash your hands (and surroundings) immediately after use.Several applications are required to get rid of a wart (on a dog, at least). The top layer eventually goes black, then black and crusty and falls off (avoid picking it off). Then the remaining (smaller) wart is exposed and you can start again. Takes a while to fully get rid of a wart (on a dog, at least 🐶).

It did the job, but the tip broke after two uses
I used it for my baby's birth cord. After two uses, it did its job, but when I wiped the tip with a paper towel, it broke. But I don't need it anymore.

Is this product for personal use?
I ordered an Avoca Silver Nitrate caustic pencil to assist with the removal of warts and skin tissues. In the detailed information on the product, it said that it was used by veterinaries in treating certain animal injuries but did not say it was a veterinary pencil. The product arrived via Amazon the next day and it specifically says Avoca Veterinary caustic pencil. So can this 'veterinary' pencil be used by humans. We will not use the product until this point is clarified.

How it works
Does exactly what it says

So fragile and can be messy!⁰
Not easy to specifically target the area as iwhere you've actually applied it does not show up until 24 hours later! You think you have hit the target but then many bits will go brown for weeks (hands, nails etc) overall though, it does remove the areas of skin it contacts. Just be careful and wear surgical gloves! It us also very fragile so don't press too hard!

If using for stubborn verruca attached to nerve USE PRE-EMPTIVE PAINKILLERS/LOCAL ANAESTHETIC
17 year old treatment resistant verruca has had every single over the counter treatment available in uk stores as well as a GP using a freezer gun. Nothing has worked. The verruca has now been considerably reduced due to the silver nitrate.Admittedly I have neither given birth nor been kicked in the balls so I'm no real authority on pain but OH MY GOD, this stuff applied to a raw verruca is the most pain I've ever been in in my entire life, like writhing around on the floor doing breathing exercises and crying out in agony for 1-2 hours kind of pain.I found that once the silver nitrate has been applied, wait for it to dry then get a corn plaster (the ones with the hole in) and stick said plaster around the verruca so the verruca is encouraged to stick out a bit in the hole making it easier to file off the neck time round.Yes as many other reviews state, the tip did eventually break after 3/4 uses even though I was super careful. Can still use the nib if held with tweezers but it's not ideal.
